Thanks Bob I needed that this morning. We did get charter buses that are leaving at 11:30am Friday. Been out of town all weekend so thanks to everyone for the support you have shown for these kids. They are very good kids. This is all very new to them. The Marion game was a good slice of humble pie that was hard to swallow. They should be very focused this week. Good luck and Godspeed to everyone else 1A and 2A playoffs. Hoping us hicks give the rest of the state a run for their money from here on out!

I read the article when it happened last spring. Would it have to do with the other people involved being from TN? I have watched more than one family destroyed by that crap. Hopefully this election will help turn the tide against the Pres and the EPA. The whole area needs it badly. I believe jobs give people self esteem and keep them away from drugs. Idle hands are the devils workshop. Pray for things to get better for all of SWVA. We can pick on each other about football and make stereotype jokes, but we are all in this together for the next couple of decades. Football is a great escape though, past 3 months have flown by. Good luck to all the kids that have worked since last winter to play this game for our communities. Thanks to all the seniors who will suit up for the last time this Friday. Stop and smell the roses. Razor, you know that is my sense of humor. I am not from Abingdon. Grew up cutting tobacco and throwing hay for local farmers. Ate my fair share of government cheese with my mam-maw in the early 80's. Best grilled cheese with homemade tomato or vegetable soup I have ever had. I just like to stir the pot. Don't take most of what I say seriously. I do think we will beat Marion. Wagner and Tyrek will have some big collisions.

While all the other schools in SWVA are shrinking and combing due to a myriad of reasons, Abingdon is flourishing. Highest test scores in this part of the state, lowest number of students on free or reduced lunch, and now a football teams that beats a lot of arse. What is not to hate? JEALOUSY is actually the right word. I know it is tough when a AHS player takes your girlfriend, and your Mom's favorite player wears the winged helmet You and city of raven need to get together. Try some wine and cheese. I know it would be government cheese and mad dog but what the heck. Most of Abingdon will be paying for it anyway. Enjoy!

Nice to not be laughing stocks. We will lose a lot of talent, but a lot of talent is going to be there for at least 2-3 years. By then Coach Reed should have a program established. Ryan even if we go 9-1 I am probably leaving the board. Everything I post is taken the wrong way. When I thought I could kid with you it made you mad and I apologize. This stuff is not for everybody. The Falcons have been playing better in terrible weather conditions. This game is turning into a pretty good rivalry. The game last year will let Marion overlook this bunch. Easy.... Everybody chill out. Falcons have to take care of business for two more weeks . Then we can talk smack(and get rid of Ryan). I have never watched a playoff game in Abingdon. Hope it happens. My personal opinion is that this is a building year for the next two years. Time will tell. 4-6 to 7-1 is still a winning season in my book. 9-1 and I am buying moonshine shots for the entire site. City of Raven, I see what you are saying. I meant Abingdon played poorly va Gate City and Lebanon in the rain. Fumbles, interception, bad snaps. I know both teams played in the same conditions. The Falcons do not play well in the rain. GC would have won any way but, Falcons played their worst game that night

Jethro, not sure when you saw Abingdon. Gate City was awful... Lebanon. Awful. They do not like rain. It will be nice tomorrow night. They look pretty good on a dry field. VHS,Happy Valley. Good game. I hope.
