Full blown flu for half the team. It was a miserable trip I remember it all to well.

Almost that time my friends and I’m pumped. Last minute prediction that my Union friends will not like but my gut says G-Men 35 Union 19. I hope I’m wrong but daytime games against good teams haven’t been good 4 quarter games in the past. Union will have to play lights out every play till the end to pull this one out. One drive or bad quarter and it will be over. With that said Go bears and good luck and injury free game and travel to all.

I’m a bear fan to the bone as I coach in the p nut program and have for years. This group of seniors was the best year of coaching in my 22 years. I really hope they can pull this out and continue to the finals. Having said that I am worried more about this game than I was the richlands game. I have watched tape and I honestly think this has the makings of a bad night for my bears. I can see it being a close game and I am pulling for the bears. If they play like they did last week it will be a barn burner. Either way good luck to both teams on outstanding seasons. I have flash backs of the last meeting in blue field that got really bad towards the end of the game and hope sportsmanship is much better this year.

That was a heck of a game as well. Was one of the funniest calls in the huddle when coach Turner asked us what we wanted to do and one of our linemen said kick a field goal. That didn’t go over to well.

Wow what a game. Congrats to both teams on probably the best game I have seen in my 20 years of watching high school ball. I don’t think Union was the best team tonight but that’s how the cards fell. The bears better figure it out or they will be out next week. Safe travels to all.

Good win for the bears. Take away 20 fumbles and the score should have been 28-0 at the half. I missed it bad saying 42-14 MW I ate my crow at the game haha. I still don't trust our secondary although Qualls really impresses me and Mitchelle as well. I noticed a few changes in secondary and i liked it. Was not impressed at all with MW and think many SWVA teams could roll them. Last thing I hope the two kids that were injured are ok.

I hate to say it and I hope I'm wrong but I can see this game getting out of hand quickly. The wildcat offense is mediocre at best and the secondary for Union really scares me. MW-42 Union 14

Same thing I said in another thread. Mitchell will not make it through the rest of the season if they stay in the wildcat. Qualls is actually a very good QB has a really good. Could be they are working it in for later in the season but if they don't it will be one and done come playoff time.

It's to early to tell but if Union doesn't get away from the wildcat and get Qualls in a QB and go back to Union football i feel it will be a long season from here on out. Mitchell is a heck of a player i just don't think he will survive many games with what they are trying to do right now. Jut my opinion.

Gave up on the run? That's laughable, Luke and Jeb the Stidham cousins were on the workhorses before they got the ball 90% of the time (76 yard rushing for the game). I'm not by no means putting down the Lee players they are good but as a team they did not look to be close to the caliber team that Union or GC is. IMO GC would beat Union if they played again this week or in the playoffs.

GC by however many points they want to score. I'm predicting a shutout for the Devils as the two scores against Union were well frankly accidents lol.

Owens could possibly be one of if not the fastest kids in the area. He will most definitely keep working into the scheme and be another factor teams have to watch for. Now how many points could Union end up with by beating Lee. I know they were 5-0 but the teams they have beat i assume don't have great records either. Will wait for next rankings to come out and see as i do not know the math nor have time to sit and figure it out so I will defer to the experts on that one.

Thanks for the insight Ryan. The DB's are very green this year so that made me cringe while thinking about this game. Hope both teams continue to get better and make a splash in the playoffs.

I really thought it would be a blowout. Maybe Union's D isn't as bad as I thought after watching the Burton game. May be that the Blues weren't firing on all cylinders I didn't make it to the game so what is the story? Were the Blues playing their A game or slow start just make Union look good. Not taking anything away from either team just curious. In either case dang what a series it has been.
