Radford is replacing their whole backfield. Finley and Grant were very dynamic and will be very hard to replace. If he didn't graduate they have a wr that played some qb when Finley was hurt but I don't see him completely replacing the void Finley left.
Mance is always classy so I'm sure the score won't be to bad. Everything that ive herd from the tigers is they have no fire or killer instinct at all. Hopefully they learn alot firday night and no matter what the score they fight for 4 quarters.
Its unfortunate that this series wasn't a little more competitive with only one win going to Honaker in the first game but it's done it's job over the years and it's time to move on.
I agree with you they are young and inexperienced and they will improve. BUT... once a standard is set its hard to digest when that standard is not met. Hopefully they take away from the scrimmage and learn and grow. Alot of work ahead for them if they want to be in any conversation come playoff time.
Hey Ryan do you think Richlands would agree to show up, shake hands, and claim there side of the check so we can all leave happily? I'm certain that's the only way both teams can "benefit" Friday night!
I don't think anyone is sleeping on the big R defense. Even you have said several times that the defense will be the biggest mystery this year. Could it end up being the strong point of this year's team? Sure. Time will tell.
The only way I see them going full time spread is because they don't have the running backs to run the pro I formation that they have run for years. Basically out of default. Hilton is a very capable QB to sling the ball around but the line play is going to have to improve tremendously from last year. The rb pool is not very deep this year for the tigers.
I haven't herd anything like that. I hope not also. Even though the game isn't very competitive it's still a great gate for bothering schools and I think each team benefits equally. I don't understand all these rumors coming from Honaker. I would say up until this past off season I have never herd anything like I'm hearing. Everything wasalways kept tucked in tight like it should be until now.
That guy has made 4 post on this site so don't take his comments as the way everybody Honaker fan views our schedule or recent success. We have played Richlands every year since 2004 I think. Also competed against gate city and Powell Valley in the playoffs until they changed everything. I personally hate the schedule. I think it needs a big change competition wise.
Sounds like a lot of dumb rumors coming out of the field house in Honaker. I don't believe none of it. UNLESS the running back pool is so drained that they have no other option.
Everybody needs to shut up hit the weights or thier will be a lot of L's for the tigers this year.
