  1. I'm not trying to be a dick, but you flat out told me several times Mitchell couldn't outrun Graves. Today proved that he can on his long TD run. Scruggs and the interior DL deserve a lot of credit. They were very very good. Scruggs and Mitchell were clearly best players on field today.
  2. Congrats to Appo as well. Scruggs was difference maker. Graves was a non factor after first quarter. And where did Appo poster go? He swore Mitchell couldn’t outrun Graves, but he did just that on his long TD run. It was clear the two best players on the field were Scruggs and James Mitchell.
  3. Appo was very good. But the got two huge calls go their way and that was the difference. The obvious hold on Mitchelll on PR TD and the horseshit false start that gave Appo the TD before the half. Congrats Appo.
  4. Appo just better. But the officiating has been horrendous.
  5. How many posters made the trip to BSG today? I’d love to put some faces to the names. I’m wearing a Bama hoodie and a toboggan. Do you guys wanna meet at the half at the flag pole?
  6. Greeneville is incredibly good.
  7. It's being shown on Comcast ch4, the local Fox affiliate
  8. Greeneville is up 47-7 against Springfield in the 3rd.
  9. Stats can be deceiving man I've said that repeatedly. Just bc one player has better numbers doesn't make him the better back.
  10. You're lying. Until Owens got fully recovered, he was not a great runner. Owens wouldn't be as successful running inside because he isn't as strong as 82. His best asset is his speed.
  11. I NEVER SAID James was the best player at every position, I just correctly stated that Mitchell is the better runner bc of his versatility. He doesn't have the speed Owens does but he can break off long runs and get tough yards up middle. Owens is a great runner but he's used on the outside whereas James does it inside and out.
  12. Most of us "good ole country boys" would never question a high school kid's heart or effort. And that's the last comment I'll make on that.
  13. Jets WR Ryan Anderson has more TDs than Julio Jones and AJ Green, he must be a better WR. Marvin Jones Jr. is second in NFL in TD catches, he must be second best WR.
  14. Jordan Howard has more rushing yards than Leonard Fournette and Melvin Gordon, is Howard better than those two? Kareem Hunt has more rush yards than Todd Gurley, is he better? Kevin Byard leads NFL in INTs, is he a better DB than Jalen Ramsey, Janoris Jenkins and Marcus Peters? No, and it's not even close.
  15. I could care less what the numbers say. Numbers lie. Watch the film. Mitchell can do everything as a runner, whereas Owens is primarily used on the edges and never between the tackles. Mitchell can get bruising yards up the gut while still being able to get outside on designed outside runs and go yard. Owens doesn't have 82s versatility. James is being recruited as a TE because he is 6'4. Where are all these schools lining up to offer Owens scholarships to D1 schools? On the DB point, Qualls has more INTs (not by much) because teams avoid throwing at James like the plague. I'm not downing either player, but to anyone who has watched Union thks season, they see it's clear Mitchell is by far the best DB and he's also the best runner this year.
  16. Knox Catholic smacked around. Beech as well.
  17. I am too, very much so. And in no way was I downing Dakota or Qualls. But they aren't as talented at Mitchell, whether it's as a runner or DB.
  18. Also Qualls isn't on same level as a DB compared to Mitchell. He is a good corner and has made some fantastic plays but he can also be caught out of position and be burnt at times.
  19. Owens isn't a better back that Mitchell. Not even close. Owens is a great RB, but he's the speed back. He isn't capable of running tough in the middle to gain big yards whereas Mitchell can bang inside for five yards, take a counter for ten years or break off an 80 yarder. He is more versatile than Owens and tougher to tackle.
  20. No they did not. They only had 9 counting regular season games.
  21. I hope we stay out of the T unless absolutely necessary. I feel like Unions better off with Mitchell touching the ball every snap and using the motions to slow down the defense.
  22. C'mon man that's not even in same realm lol. Union knew they could crush LCC, they just had to tighten up. There was very little pressure. Now, there's pressure out the wazoo. Union has proven to be mentally tough, but I'm sure the players remember last year. If Union can start fast it's moot, but if not I hope they don't start getting tight and pressing.
  23. I hope if Union does fall behind 7-14 points, the wheels don't come off. Momentum and state of mind are huge. Appo knows they can win if they get down a score or two (although they haven't been down much at all, maybe same goes for them?) I hope Union can play with same confidence. The defense is good enough to get a couple stops and allow the offense to get back into a rhythm, I just hope the kids aren't in their heads. If Union can get good movement from the OL and tackle in space, they can keep it close and win. If not, could be another long day.
  24. Ha that is awesome. Playing a HS football game that close to a strip club is hilarious.
