This is going to be a good game. Both teams come in (8-1). I do believe however it will be hard to stop Wagner, but Wagner is not all that we have. We did confuse the heck out of Union on "D", and if we are on our toes we could do it to just about anybody. This game is going to come down to turnovers and field position. Just saying this because Marion has been on a big roll I do think Marion opens it up middle of the third quarter on and wins Big I say 48 to 17.

Abingdon good team, Marion great team from what I have seen.  Again only going on what I have seen first hand.  Marion had explosiveness.  Abingdon did not.  Hard to run on Abingdon.  Hard to Pass on Marion.  I think it will all come down to the weather and who makes mistakes.  But in the end look for Marion to win it by 14-21 points.
 
Just my thoughts from observations.

you know i dont post much anymore but this is one i cant help not to..mountain man,im vols4life..ive been here for years and alil advice for you..u mess with one marion person you get all of us..see unlike the babybirds we dont sqawk around and beg for attention.u are 8-1..we are 8-1..its goona be a great game.enjoy it..dont talk about he said she said bs..we are a very solid team,ask a very good union team.we had them confused on defense..unlike others,i enjoy playing in abingdon..good hotdogs and funny to watch a community act the way abingdon does..SMH,so many of them could careless..as long as they are seen at the game..Strap it on tight,its gonna be a good one..im done..just hope nobody gets badly hurt...

I am for sure pulling for Marion. I made some new friends at the Abingdon game but no way do I pull for them in this one. Go Canes!

My way too early thoughts are that Marion wins this game. Just a gut feeling. It may change before the week gets here, but I'm just feeling a Canes win.

I was hoping this thread was going to be about two 8-1 teams going at it. But I can see it's already heading the other direction. I'm thinking this will be a close one. Best of luck to both teams and on into the playoffs.

How about Marion winning the their district. I can't help but thinking if we had all players for that Northwood game, how would that have changed things. But can't think bout the what if's just need to look forward to Abingdon on Friday night. Going to be a good game, good luck to both teams.

Slobberknocker. Union's 7 point victory over Central last night won't get it done against this bunch. Sam "Rock You Like A Hurricane" Wagner will account for all 3 Marion scores as the Canes win 21-10.

Union has played flat the last 2 games. After watching the Central game last night, Union seems to be in some sort of who cares mode.

Well the Blues will be very anxious to see the out come of this one because it will have a big impact on the playoffs. Union has played in several very close games this year and it should help them in this game. Marion has flew under the radar and in my opinion is an underestimated team.
The game being at Marion makes this game much closer than I would have predicted if it would have been at Union.
 
Marion on offense can line up and power run at you with Wagner or spread you out and pass or run Wagner out of that also. That makes them a very difficult team to defend. Wagner must have a big game and run for a 100 yards at least. Marion on defense is where I think they win or lose. Union I think will score many points. Marion will have to get after the Qb with success or they will have to score a lot!
 
I think this will be a high scoring and very exciting game. The Marion fans should be electric and very loud which will have the team fired up and ready to go. Union better not come in flat or they will get beat. I will be pulling for Marion in this one. My friends Canes and Hurricane have waited a long time for a game like this and I am excited for them. It should be a great game and wonderful atmosphere. Good luck to both teams because I have friends in both places. I think this one is a shootout and Unions 4th quarter heroics fall just short this time

I'm going with the canes in a very close game! But a little piece of advice Marion knock them out and then step on there throats because this union team knows the game ain't over until that final horn blows!

This is the biggest game Marion has played in the regular season in many years and they are ready for this Marion finds a way to win it. Marion 31 Union 28

HUGE game! Union has had some close calls while Marion has faced a relatively weak schedule.
