SWVAgridiron got a reaction from Akshun in Glevar @ Union
Glenvar doesnt take any opponent lightly. It doesnt matter if the team is 10-0 or 0-10. They have a great bunch of athletes and some good coaches.

After thinking long and hard I think I'd rather make the 2 hour trip to Appomattox then 3 hour trip to Big Stone Gap. Richlands is my 2nd favorite team behind Giles so let's go Blues!

Almost everyone these days seems to think that any offense that lines up in 2x2 is running spread, regardless of personnel, motion, or play

I'm not what you could call a die hard Giles fan but I love watching them play. The first time they played Glenvar, I do think the refs determined the outcome. Tonight, Glenvar just showed that they had the better team. As a mutual observer the officiating was great. Both teams got penalized and the calls were all obvious. #7 for Glenvar is just an amazing athlete. Some of those catches he had you would see at the NFL level. And hats off to Glenvar's defense once again. They gave Giles great field position all night but Giles could not do anything with it. Their coach called a few questionable plays but Glenvar was just too much. Keep your head up Spartans, yall did a lot better than expected. Glenvar, congrats. Best defense I have seen in years.

Glenvar's #2 will put pressure on your qb all night. He's there strong side end and as as the ball is snapped he goes straight to the backfield

Glenvar's strength is their defense. No team has scored more than 15 points on them. Theyre strong, physical, and play to the echo of the whistle. You will more than likely not be able to run on them. If you have multiple talented receivers and a line that can give the qb some time you may have a chance to put up some points.
Their offense is more balanced this year then ever. They have a small running back but he is strong and quick. If he has a small opening he will bust through it. They also have a good qb with 2 great receivers. #2 is tall, quick, and is hard to take down in open field. #7 is smaller but very fast! If the ball is thrown in his area he will more than likely catch it. He has the best hands of any receiver I've watched this season. He is also a dangerous return man.

You're not the first person to use a combined name like that to take a shot at us. So yes, it's old.
And we aren't sensitive about it, we are just sick and tired of hearing the same old $hit over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over.

Richlands cannot let Appomattox get up on them like Buckingham. Appo does have a better defense than BC and like I stated earlier they get better and better as the game goes on

I was pulling for Graham but after hearing how disrespectful their fans and players were way to go Union! A few tips for union next week. On offense, throw away from #7. On defense, you better put your best dB on him. You won't be able to double up on him because #2 for them is a great receiver as well. Giles had one of their lesser talented guys trying to play man defense on #7 and he lit them up.

I gaurentee you this fan and nobody I know think there is an easy game left in 2A. That would be foolish. I expect them all to go late in the fourth quarter from here on out. Just saying........were just glad to still be here and rooting for all SWVA teams left in 12&3A

We certainly have a lot of hype outside our borders, that's for sure lol. There were folks up at Appo that knew who we were because of what they had heard.

SWVAgridiron got a reaction from Ryan4VT in Buckingham @ Richlands
But its not even just Richlands fans. Ridgeview fans at the Giles game were saying that it doesnt matter who won that game because no team has a chance against Richlands. The way I look at it, there are still 16 teams that are playing in 2A.

Yea Akshun all he said was that he hopes you were 1-3. He didn't say "You're stupid for picking Buckingham" these are just our predictions fellas. We will know who advances to the 3rd round Friday night!

Bleachers are fairly new, and some of the best and largest visitor bleachers in the area. And really close to the field. Only Richlands, Gate City, and sometimes Lee fill them up. They are supposed to hold 1000 people.
Parking is a bigger issue than seating. Not that you can't find a parking space, just have to walk a little. Like Ryan mentioned, "the running of the Bears" is entertaining. There was around 400 people in line when the gates opened at 5. Some had been there since 2 pm.
Here's some pics and videos I found to show you the fans and the stadium itself.
Pic of the ticket gate…There were 3 other gates open, 2 of which had significantly more people in line than this one.
