Not sure how accurate you expect a qb to be. Especially a 17 year old. Ive seen NFL qbs with worse accuracy. Of course hes not gonna put it right on the money every single pass but hes probably the best ive seen in high school. Also, youre saying at least 17 of his completions in the Draft game were just thrown up. Were you blindfolded? I can only recall maybe 3 or 4. Take a look at the video on that last TD catch. While it was an ill advised throw into double coverage it was perfect placement. High enough and deep enough where only Ball could make the play. look at the fact how many receivers have multiple receptions and touchdowns. Collins,Lowe, Brown, Horn, and Booker. Anyone who comes in is productive. Its not just his receivers. Not sure how accurate people make him out to be as you were saying but hes no Tom Brady.

There will be turnovers especially if theyre gonna throw it up 50 times. Appo is just too fast and athletic on D . If they can just holdthem from capitalizing on those turnovers will be the key for turnovers. Richlands will also need a couple.

Wish everyone else would adopt the 6pm start time for Saturday games.

Felt the same way until i realized they are just looking like a different team and not throwing it up 40 times a game the past 2 games. Mance has really focused on the run game and i loved the play selection i seen against Battle. Mixed it up really well. Glenvar will be a tough matchup i believe. They beat a solid Giles team so you know theyre going to be tough up front.

I believe Union would have a chance with Appo. Hope we get to see it. Would love to see them take down DR then Appo. Would also like to see that Graham vs Martinsville game. Seems like an interesting matchup. So if both Graham and Richlands win ill have a tough decision to make.

Noticed Appo is getting away with assisting the runner a lot unless that penalty is only called on tds.

I dont know if i would say he was struggling in that game. Having 4 or 5 receivers up against 7-8 in coverage is a difficult task for a high school qb. He needs to break the habit of staring down his 1st read. But i absolutely agree with bringing in Brown in a situation like that. Hes a much better runner and you can roll him out and give him the option to pass or run. Ive seen JLA take some hard hits this year where i thought he wasnt getting back up. Hes a tough kid but not a runner.

I dont think he was trying to light a fire in JLA by rotating him and Brown. JLA can get it done if theyre not dropping 7-8 in coverage. Just wish he would learn to at least get to his 2nd read. I would guess hes giving Brown some reps for when they run in to that Abingdon situation again cuz hes a much better runner and a very capable passer. Theres no doubt they will face that situation again cuz every opposing coach will look at that Abingdon game.

I dont like it. Howie is not a RB. Yeh sure if he gets a good lane he could be gone but the line hasnt been good at getting to the 2nd level. Like another poster said its not a big mystery what theyre gonna do when hes back there. Id say just keep pounding Collins and White.

curious why they dont use raequan jones at RB. He looks good and has decent size.

Was always curious about situations like this Abingdon vs Richlands game. In no way am i questioning coaching or a players skills. JLA is one of the best passers ive seen in high school. But in games like this where the D is dropping 7-8 in coverage and you cant run the ball do you bring in Brown #2, who is a better runner, for a couple series to see what he might can do. I may be wrong but didnt they rotate Reese and Cody occasionally in 2010?

Why would you roll john luke out to the right? The blueprint is out on richlands. When you cant run the ball on a 3 man front and can drop 8 in coverage youve got some problems.

Thought the same thing with randolph henry. But was wrong in thinking appo played randolph henry. Could go either way.
