Love the cross-ups. That's why I would like to see how Virginia High does against Glenvar. I know it means nothing in predicting future outcomes but still interesting to see. Also excited to see how the Abingdon vs Rusturg game goes.

Looking pretty good for Union and Richlands avoiding each other until state if they make it that far. Bluefield and Virginia have a good shot at winning those games. Wayne seems down this year but have played some good competition. Believe ill go watch that game.

Just to answer your question about Blankenship. Waldron was probably next up. He was getting at least half, if not the majority, of the carries before the season started. He got hurt in the benefit game and is out for the season.

Sturgill, Asbury and Spears are all very good qbs. They all have their strong points. I believe Asbury is the better pocket passer with very good accuracy. Sturgill has an unbelievable release and the ability to scramble. Same with Spears, good accuracy and can scramble and run well. For me, its hard to put one above the other. But if I was forming a team, I think I would choose Sturgill. Haven't seen the Lundy kid.

3 actually. Ball, Collins and Atkinson. Who was the kid that threw for 5 TDs? How bout the kids that let Blankenship go untouched on several runs? How bout that Int? And how bout that DEFENSE? It's a team effort.

Would love to see a Richlands vs Union championship. But the Gate City and Central games are a little concerning. Why were they so close? Was it play calling or did they have some kids out? Or maybe its just that Gate City and Central have been improving.

I agree about Atkinson. I think he has the potential to be a good DB. Has good speed and good hands. He just gets out of position at times trying to make the big play. I say continue to put him on the best receiver and let him learn.

I never claimed that. Only statement I've ever made on that game was that Abingdon was knocking Michaels silly.

was very impressed with how fast Sturgill could get rid of the ball. The arm strength he displayed when he was going backwards trying to avoid the sack and got the completion. Made a few inaccurate throws but was expected with all the pressure.

Yes I agree the first didn't look like he was interfered with. But just one or two plays later, the same play, it definately looked like he was interfered with and not called.
