I read the article on the Times website today about that game, I thought it was interesting that even the Liberty coach put the VHSL on blast for allowing teams like his very own 2-8 squad in the playoffs. I figured a coach was always happy to get one more game but I guess in some instances, maybe not.

Well, I am... I just disguise it... I'm usually going to a game straight from work and don't have time to stop and eat. :D

An exceptional article by Tim Hayes from the BHC today. I was at this game and can tell you that other than some of the epic Haysi games I have seen over the years, this is the best high school football game I've ever seen in person. Not bad! Bologna burger is awesome! Former Haysi QB great and state record setter at the time, Jason Compton runs it. Only negative is it's not open AFTER the game.

I figured you all lobbied Miami to make your very own turnover chain. I mean, you already have that sickening stylized "U" logo, all you need is to have whoever duplicate that chain and paint the "U" orange and navy blue instead of orange and pukey green and there you go. :D Back to what offense Richlands is running this Friday, I hear somewhere they were going with the "oop de oop". Because after all, it did work for Jonathan Moxson at West Canaan, Texas back in the day. :D

A receiver for Tennessee High tore his ACL against Lee in week 2 and was back and scoring touchdowns before the end of the regular season. Also scored in their playoff game against South Doyle last week I believe. Not sure what the comparison is between the ACL and Achilles as far as which is worse, but just saying people can apparently return from devastating injuries in a fairly short amount of time with success these days.

I bet Mitchell looks awfully empty when it's anyone other than Graham-Beaver or Graham-Blues playing. Battle might bring 100 fans to the game Saturday. IF Ridgeview gets there next week, we might bring 500 or so. I've been disappointed with our turnout the last couple of games.

Oh no... I was at the Ferrum and E&H game this year and laughed my ass off on the way it ended. I'm not an E&H fan at all. The penalty Mann got that I spoke of happened in that game. I got a huge kick out of it. :)

I figured your team was Ferrum Hokiebird... since they have your boy Mann tearing it up down there and getting flagged for Unsportsmanlike for flashing the Johnny Manziel hand gesture. Lol

Exactly. It's up to the regional chair to decide the number of teams. Region 6B is very similar to 1B. 6B only has 8 teams, but DID decide to cut 2 teams out, only taking the top 6.
