Yes... Canes00 said he was pulling for Grayson in the Grayson/Ridgeview thread, so I thought I would poke a playful jab back and say I hope VHS wins by 3+ scores.
In all honesty, I don't care who wins this game, because we're most likely not playing either anyway as the only way that's possible is for the regional championship.
-
I hope the Bearcats win by 3+ scores.

New Japan is 10 times better than WWE right now. Bullet Club for life, yo!

Condolences to the Honaker community first and foremost.
About the game... if this isn't a mercy rule game, I will be very disappointed.
Ridgeview 49, Honaker 7

If you count the Hurley/Twin Valley game (which the VHSL did not this week due to the last minute schedule change), then Hurley is 4th with Thomas Walker in 5th. That's probably what Helper did to get his numbers.
-
Come on @SWVAgridiron and @Plywood_King... post your picks, so I can post mine. :D
-
Same with Haysi, and we played Essex at King William which had much more seats from what I understand than Essex stadium had. Haysi had the visitors side full at King William plus many more standing along the fence. Essex had like 100 folks on the home side, if that many.

I wish we would too, so we can see who would have the right to talk smack afterwards, since you seem to like to talk it.
On a personal note, heard through the grapevine that you just became a dad or are about to, so congratulations on that. Hope mom and child are doing fine. No better feeling in the world. :)

Ridgeview would beat Marion, I about guarantee it.
Besides when Graham beats Marion by 40+ Friday night, any possibility of the dream Ridgeview/Richlands matchup goes by the wayside anyway. :)
-
You all spend so much time up there mingling with your fellow Walmart Warriors at the Applebee's having fellowship, you might as well be from Wise. Lol
-
Pikeville (Pike County Central) to Louisville is no short haul either. :D
-
Ridgeview won't wind up 2 if y'all take care of business against Marion will they?

Like Tennessee, top 4 in each district make the playoffs. There are 5 teams in Jenkins' district I think. They didn't win a district game or any game for that matter, therefore they didn't make it this year. Last year, they beat Lynn Camp I think for their 1 win qualifying them and two years ago, they beat both Phelps and Lynn Camp for 2 wins. Lol

I don't know, but if Ridgeview is eliminated by then, I am probably going to go to that inevitable playoff rematch between them and Elizabethton. I think that would be in round 3, which would mean our round 2. I'm hoping we're not one and done in the playoffs. Lol
-
I figured since there was a TSSAA thread, I figured I would make a KHSAA thread as well noting the teams that SWVA schools played.
1A: Pineville (2-8) at Hazard (7-2); Harlan (3-7) at Pikeville (5-4)
2A: Somerset (6-4) at Shelby Valley (6-4); East Ridge (5-5) at Danville (10-0)
3A: Pike County Central (5-5) at Central (Louisville) (8-2)

I saw Johnson County in week 1 against Sullivan East. They looked decent for sure, but not like a 10-0 team at all.
-
Not football related, but how many Martinsville hot dogs did rvtne215 eat over the weekend? And 1. Are they as good as advertised and 2. Are they better than the Tiger Taco or the Twin Valley nachos?
-
Wow... tied for the last spot...
-
I'm guessing Ridgeview will get John Battle again in the first round, most likely.
-
I think Rule 3 is games against VHSL schools. It counts for power points, but if Grundy winds up tied with someone, then if it gets to the third tiebreaker, it's the record against VHSL schools which decides that particular tiebreaker.
-
That's because you sir are a bad ass and nobody would want to mess with you. :D
