Tazewell does have a veteran team and I hope they win Friday night. I'm not sure what you mean by they have been there before. Furthermore Graham plays a tough Union squad Saturday and if I'm not mistaken Tazewell plays a very tough Central team. Pump your brakes a couple times and take care of business Friday before you worry about another game lol

Thats a good question. I don't know enough about the Abingdon kid to say one way or the other. Like @Real Sasquatch said Fritz has really good balance. He's a 4x State Champion in wrestling and he has 2018 football ring as well. Football is the ultimate TEAM sport and I dont like bragging too much on particular kids but he's a workhorse. *****No I'm not his dad lol

I'm glad to see someone else is willing to give Fritz some credit. Im sure I'll catch some grief for this but IMHO he's the best back we've had since Jamorya.

I don't see this Graham team using the quarantine as an excuse. I could see the first half being a little sloppy but after that I think they'll settle in and be good to go. 3 days of practice obviously isn't the ideal situation to be in especially against Union. I cant wait for Saturday to get here! These two teams seem to always put on a good show.

Buddy that's a great question. I've heard so many stories on the process behind this. Card games, corn hole tournament, and a pissing contest. I think a game of "Horse" is what finally decided it. Union being the basketball state champs obviously won that and here we are.

Correct me if I'm wrong. Isn't Union undefeated at Mitchell Stadium against Graham? Obviously a short week of practice for Graham coming off a quarantine. With only 4 seniors on this team I still like their maturity. They showed me quite a bit last week battling back against a veteran Tazewell team.

I'm terrible with predictions to begin with much less this year. I'm a little leary of these Appo and Union guys downplaying their teams😂 On the other hand I'm not sure where @BigWinners thinks us SWD guys are bragging or something about our teams. Heck we've spent the last 3 weeks trash talking each other like a big family feud. Lol My prediction for this game is the same prediction I made last week with Tazewell/Graham. If the score has more than 7 points separation I'll be surprised. This should be a really good game.

When I say Graham plays 4 seniors I probably should've said they have 4 seniors on the team period. All 4 do play. I may be wrong on this but I think for the most part Graham's starters are sophomores for the most part.

I could see this game going either way. If Tazewell can keep their head right for 4 quarters they can win. If they unravel as they are capable of doing whether its penalties or thinking they have it in the bag against a good team and they really dont. Then Wise will be playing the winner of Graham/Union.

What was the score of the Tazewell vs Richlands middle school game? I'm pretty sure they took Richlands to the woodshed and delivered a spanking. I know you can't count on great middle school teams being great varsity teams but if they continue on the path they are on...........

It seems the general consensus is Richlands is greatly improved and stands a good chance of beating Graham. I can see the improvement from their first game against Graham till now. But look at it like this. In that first game Graham's coaches had nothing to go on. Whereas Thad and Co had plenty of film to review. 5 games into the season who's to say with some film to study and more preparation Graham wouldn't spank Richlands more the second time around??

You have to create an atmosphere that kids not only want to play but play hard for you. I can't speak to the atmosphere at GW but when you watch their games it doesn't seem like they make many adjustments. Especially defensively. It can get hard to watch a team pound the ball 20 times in the same gap with no adjustments. Kinda demoralizing as a player.
