  1. Graham hosts Tazewell on Saturday (11/16) at 1 pm.
  2. Has to be the sloppiest 34 points I’ve seen, seems like they’re all over the board.
  3. I was impressed with the respect that the Bluefied players and coaches showed throughout the game. There was no cheap shots, trash talk, late hits or anything. Even walking over and shaking hands with our injured players after the game. Outside of the score, I felt the game was just opportunities for Tazewell kids to really play against competition for measure. I thought Tazewell had a good flow offensively compared to previous games.
  4. You'll probably get to see part of that.
  5. Richlands-24 Abingdon-14 Abingdon is getting the same treatment they gave 1Q, getting run over.
  6. Abingdon just chewed up almost 9 minutes on their first series, ran the ball all the way. Abingdon leads 7-0.
  7. Personnel and plays won’t change. Hope for a good rest of the season, injury free and continued support.
  8. Tazewell rarely adjusts, especially on offense (it seems). I believe Graham felt they could press the receivers because they knew they could force the QB to throw early or run, which what happened for Tazewell so it was a good plan. Tazewell got smacked good I would like to see how they respond Friday, hopefully last week is a memory and they move forward and be ready. As for my opinion on transfers, nothing is going to stop it and if the schools are going to roll with it then I believe everyone else should as well.
  9. Impressed with tonight, hopefully they can carry this over to next week. Tazewell’s defense is much better.
  10. Supposed to by Thursday morning if not sooner.
  11. I'm hearing the game will still be played on Friday at 7, it will still be at VHS or moved to Emory & Henry but it's based on the outcome of the Bristol Pirates games.
  12. There is a possibility the day may be changed due to the baseball game. One year they just changed the starting time from 7 to 8, they're waiting on VHS to confirm which is better.
  13. It was a good showing and they had some good moments. Still don’t see a consistency on aggression. Seems like once something negative happens they dwell on it too long, need to forget it and move on. Overall I think they’ll be competitive more than what people think.
  14. At least the BBQ was good. Other than that nothing to see.
  15. Tazewell had 41 come out the past few days, the MS has about 20.
  16. Just curious, what are the chances that most of these school/teams stay at those numbers from Day 1 until Game 1? Given that in the past I have known kids (in Tazewell) that want to come out once school starts or kids that quit after days 1, 2, or whatever.
  17. That's great to have kids come out like that, keep building the program.
  18. Tazewell has talent, they always have good kids in all positions. Again, this year starts on the line and if that doesn't get straightened out then everyone in the backfield will be scrambling. I'm gonna say either 4-6 or 6-4, how they respond to the second half of the season will determine if it'll be playoffs or not. Good luck to all area teams.
  19. That's what I see happening. I'm sure once the real practice starts anything can happen.
  20. For Tazewell I believe Nunley will get the starting nod to begin the season. Both kids are young and have the RB tandem of Harris and Jones to fall back on, also Jordan to use in any position. Tazewell’s first half of the season will really test this group, especially the young lineman. But to have a plug and play type of QB as Tazewell has can be useful, IMO.
  21. It appears that the number of kids coming out grows each week, there is some excitement for Tazewell, I agree with Hokie1Pokie, 7-3 at best and 5-5 at worst.
  22. Bulldogs52, you may have been out of HS for 20 but you look like it's been 30! LOL
  23. I've heard both, the good and bad. I've worked that way before and have experienced both. I believe it comes down to different circumstances and everyone has their own opinion. As with everything else, one incident can label a community or program. People had told me the same thing about Riverview last year but we never seen anything negative, people were nice and respectful.
