I mean I would like for there to be a clear favorite in the region but I feel like any of the these games you’d have a better chance to flip a coin on it instead of guessing who wins. I’d say the one team that is slowly starting to pull away from the pack is V High with GC close behind and the other 4 teams even closer behind
I agree, any of these 8 teams could make it, it just depends on who has the hotter hands that night.
I feel all of these teams are all within 10 points of each other either way on any given night.
Union has proved me wrong. I didn't expect the performances they have shown Friday & Saturday.
-Friday night they played Mount Mission (5-2 at the time) @ UVA Wise. The Bears come in with zero games under their belt and only had 9 practices.
Bears win 78-75
Saturday night Sullivan East (5-3) came to the Bear Den. Dreaded this one, knowing they had dead legs. Bears were down 18-0 at the end of 1st quarter. Yes, Zero.
Bears win 58-53
Paul Huff will be back on the court this week or next, and hopefully Bunch's injury isn't as bad as they think and he will be cleared to play.
I went to the game yesterday, just as a general football fan, pulling for neither team. But my god, I could not be a fan of RiverHeads. What a stale offense. Obviously it works, but it's so monotonous it's mind numbing.
I remember that night well. If I'm not mistaken, it was 14 degrees. I had to walk around the track at halftime just so I could feel my feet again. Still the coldest I've ever been at a game.
I don’t know how Calpreps really works but I assume the Ridgeview results have something to do with that. That’s where the computer can’t get all the details right.

True UnionGuy2017. It can't account for injuries and that's it's weakness.
You all are exactly right.
O’Quinn & Honaker are 75%+ of Ridgeview’s offense that played @ Union, but were on the bench today.
I think VH is better than their record indicates. Just a few tough breaks along the way. I still think (& hope) Union dominates this game on both sides of the ball. 41-14
I assume maybe because of the weather on Friday. Maybe also so they can draw in extra crowds for the other nearby games on Friday and Saturday? Who knows.
How is the player who got injured late in the game Vs Union? His name and number both are escaping me..
If he plays then I think Ridgeview wins a tight one. If he doesn’t, that really puts a burden on O’Quinn to be special and things could get interesting.
Pack 27
Falcons 20
Branson Honaker #17 (maybe?) I know thats the name, About 99% sure on the number
He played defense AFAIK Friday night, no offense though
That pass Huff caught deep middle was such a magnificent throw and catch. Awesome, awesome stuff. If Union can complete that pass, that’s a tough offense to stop.
Was that the same route he went over top of O’Quinn last week and caught around midfield?
I think Graham wins this one easily.
on a side note, how is Clements coming along?

Nothing to do with this game but shoutout to Marion’s #3 playing with marching band during halftime. I like seeing kids who have diversified talents!
I love this post. Not only you speaking out about it, but for a kid who doesn’t think his status of a football player is better than a band member.
I’ve always been a fan of music, never was a band member, BUT, music is a very hard skill to learn.
Now on top of learning how to play music, you have to learn how to read music, then memorize it, then learn the marching formations, movements etc. now let’s put it all together.
a lot of people don’t give band members credit. Those kids put in WORK!

I'm just a lousy X-Ray tech, but call someone who works in corrections a "prison guard" and see how that works out for you.
