  1. I think if you read @Tigerman10 comments above, I don't think it's top secret. It's obvious who it supposedly is if you read the last paragraph. I don't know the kids' name without going back and looking at last year's roster but I know who is being referenced, lol. I don't blame him, he's probably not getting much if any playing time at Bluefield.
  2. I'm just piggybacking off the Tazewell/Graham thread, same transfer as mentioned there. Blevins who played QB for Tazewell last year.
  3. Guess we'll see Friday night πŸ‘
  4. Looks like they'll be a new face on the field Friday night for the GMen. In my opinion, it will give them some different options on offense.
  5. I believe you are correct and I see no reason why he wouldn't be eligible. I'm sure we'll know for certain come Friday night.
  6. Don't mind me, I'm just here for the comments. 🍿🍿🍿🍿🍿🍿🍿🍿 Can't we all just get along and let this thread ride off into the sunset? πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚
  7. SWD Devin Lester Graham Defense Harris (Based on Week 2 Performance, otherwise, Forrest would be listed)
  8. I think most of the brewhaha on social media is coming from females probably relatives of players πŸ˜‚ The moral.of the story, Mamas don't let your babies grow to be football players (if noise bothers them or you) πŸ˜‚
  9. Let's not count the wins before the last whistle blows...Graham's defense is way beyond game 3 last year & offense will get better and better as season progresses. Lester has had a great showing first two games & some definite play makers to compliment his skills at QB.
  10. Have you seen their defense? Even without Lester on defense, teams would be hardpressed (with the exception of Bluefield) to put up a ton a points against them. They have several playmakers on offense, get them the ball & they can score. I'm glad we have Lester. He's a weapon, a great athlete, an asset to the team but it's a stretch to think Graham would be 5-5 without him. It boils down to Graham's coaching staff has done a phenomenal job and the players have stepped up and put the work in to be prepared. A lot of them have really good "football" sense.
  11. I'm not sure making the region is as newsworthy these days as in the past. SWD has four out of six teams go. If Tazewell ends ups in championship game, that will be more newsworthy in my opinion. I'm not taking anything away from them. I hope that have a great season. We can agree to disagree, I think back to back state championships would be more newsworthy than making the regionals where more than half the teams in district go & some have a losing record possibly.
  12. I believe you're talking about Sage Webb.
  13. Week 2 Performances, what say the board? Top 3 SWD Top 3 M7 Top 3 in Region
  14. Not as sure who wins, could be a barn burner tlil final whistle; @Old Soul I saw several Bland County folks at the Graham/Tazewell game last night. Really hope Bears can revive their varsity program in the future not that we don't appreciate the extra spectators.
  15. No excuses, no moral victories...I complained about refs during our game last week but I also conceded we made mistakes and were sloppy. As much as I dislike that particular whistle, it does add to the entire atmosphere. If a complaint does get filed, I won't be surprised. An "anonymous" complaint was filed against Graham right before the regional championship with Richlands last year. Hopefully, it just dies down and everyone can get on with the season. Props to @Tiger 2000 for his above post as a Richlands' fan.
  16. If Graham's defense plays Giles's offense like they did Tazewell, then I think Graham names the score; however, Giles will be hungry for a win. With that said, Graham is much better at this point in season than they were last year when they played Giles in my opinion. GMen have several playmakers on offense and Lester is getting job done at QB. Props to Tony Palmer & company for getting things clicking early this year. I'd like to see cleaning up penalties though. I think that will come.
  17. Mount View lost their best player to Graham.
  18. I'll take Tazewell in this one. I think they bounce back from the freight train they hit tonight.
  19. Walking on it is a good sign. Rex Bradshaw and Dennis Palmer have the defense going strong, they've got all the pieces clicking and some great stoppers on D. If they stay healthy, I don't see many offenses being too successful against GMen. Offense, Lester needs to stay healthy, they'll continue to improve. They're got some great play makers. As far as Tazewell, if they can stay healthy, I can see them battling it out for 2nd in SWD. Graham was just a whole different level than VA High. I think it may have caught them unprepared for what they encountered tonight.
  20. I saw somewhere , maybe on one of these threads, he was having surgery in the morning on his ankle.
  21. Not sure he gets it next week or the next, I could be wrong though. He'll get it at some point this season.
  22. They did that to Graham last year in the playoffs. Cam stayed cool as a cucumber even in that atmosphere. I hated that whistle but it is what it is, up to players to adjust to any distractions. In my opinion, if Blues complain about a train whistle it makes them look like crybabies. Graham will have to deal with it next year, and we'll have a very young team losing over a dozen seniors this year. I'll still hate that whistle as much next year as I did last year but as I said, it is what it is.
  23. Heard Johnson got hurt tonight, hope it's not serious.
