I know what some are saying & I may be wrong but I say close! Creasy will be the key for Tazewell & if Graham gives him time to throw and find his receivers. Hopefully, Rotenberry, Jennings, Hill etc. can get to him fast and make adjustments if necessary.

Congratulations to Bluefield High School head football coach Fred Simon. Tonight’s 47-13 victory over Giles was win #300 for Coach Simon. He is the only coach in WV high school football history to win 300 games at one school per J & J News.

They really didn’t get in a hurry the entire game. They used big chunks of time several drives.

Kind of reminds me of Central Woodstock last year , they ran out nearly an entire quarter on one drive & came up empty. If you’re going to take that much time off the clock, you gotta capitalize on it.

I don't really think kids who come in middle school should even be part of high school transfer conversation. If a program is consistently getting juniors or seniors from other schools, okay have a conversation but middle school transfers here & there. The only time I would think middle school would be in the discussion is if a program had numerous middle schoolers transferring year after year but I haven't seen that happening around here that I know of, granted Honaker got several middle schoolers this year from Richlands but that's not happening year in & year out.

It looked like Graham had a handful out against Pulaski including the younger Hughes brother now.

I honestly think Tazewell will have a great game. Graham’s DBs struggled against Pulaski and Cougar receivers were wide open all night long. Tazewell has a heck of a lot better passing game than Pulaski. Contrarily , I think Tazewell will have their work cut out stopping Graham’s run game. We’ll see but I think it’s close. The only caveat is if Tazewell gets down say three scores against Graham, I don't know if they rally or give up. Could be as much mental game as physical game if that happens.

I’m reference to cleaning house comment; Serious question, where are you going to find a new head coach and say minimum 4 new assistants to come to Richlands? If you’re thinking people already in Richlands? Who would you hire and who would be willing to take the job?

I think Richlands can win but if they do is another story. Hopefully, they are ready and come out fired up to make a game.

I agree with this statement! I will take it a step further & to our east. A bunch of folks are giving region C to Radford, “Appo is down this year”, blah, blah, blah! Appo is a team that could beat Radford in the playoffs! Never count them out EVER!

The dichotomy of the decline: Dennis Palmer no longer on staff Mance retires Hire Thad Wells should have hired Ronnie Davis (maybe luring Snake back but probably not) Lowe debacle which undermined the success of the program and created turmoil in the community. Once again, Ronnie Davis was back last season but then gone again this season. Richlands needs some more quality assistants , not saying current ones aren’t alright but the program is in need of serious help. Not as talented as past/Richlands kids transferring to other schools instead of vice versa. Plus someone from Richlands mentioned the “youth” factor too. I don’t know how the feeder program is down that way from little league through middle school, maybe that’s part of it too. A series of very unfortunate events as they say…what’s the best solution? That’s above my pay grade. I do hope they figure it out because it only helps all teams when others in the area are competitive & thriving!

I’ve heard cowbells all season & Union brought horn type noisemakers possibly those you pump with hand and I don’t think anything was said entire game , not even to the bands. Graham’s band basically plays or chants the entire game even when we’re on offense. It’s not been an issue yet.
