Ms. Ruby Wolfe & Mr. Stan Rogers weโre hired right out of college. Mr. Rogers graduated from Bluefield College in 75. Mrs. Rogers (Wolfe) May have been hired a year later after obtaining an advanced degree. The dates should be accurate.
My apologies to Abingdon & Wise Central on behalf of all Gate Citians. I had no idea that Darren Reed had set your respective programs back so terribly, or cost you the multiple championships that a qualified coach would have won. Maybe Akers will retain him on his staff at Blountville Middle next year.

It was โAbingdon who?โ for 100 years until Reed took the reigns. Now you got folks crying their eyes out over being in a district with them. ๐คท๐ผโโ๏ธ
I want a person of character who will use football as a means of teaching functional life lessons to help GC kids be successful off the field. It doesnโt matter a bit to me where they come from. Darren Reed is like my wife - not the best, but the best that I can do. ๐
I LOVE Coach Robbins... but many of those wins were against po-dunk schools. The man had two regular season games to play each year and a three round cakewalk to the championship. His numbers are great, but he had some help.
Not having #20 hurt GC badly on both sides. Obviously it hasnโt been the results they wanted, but the last three weeks have produced three barn burners. Wise got a big W tonight, so next week could be another one.
No one from Gate City is bashing anyone but our own. @TwhscoachT made a joke; I made a joke in rebuttal. Thatโs it. Quit trying to start drama, or youโll wake the ๐จ.
