We had the same issue for the first couple of broadcasts this season. It's an issue with signal. For some reason, we couldn't use Skype to do ours, but when we started using a Verizon data box and using Facebook Audio, we sounded clear. So it's likely that sort of issue. The real issue is that do you actually want to hear them? When I listened a few times this season, it wasn't very good, and that's being nice.

Poor audio quality + bad broadcasters= Unlistenable

whoooeee, thereis so much chest thumping on that other "YANKEE BOARD", you know the other guys....to hear them talk APPOMATTOX has already won the STATE and the rest of us are playing for second....

There are a few good Appo fans out there, but I've found the vast majority to be arrogant and insufferable.  Five minutes on that other board always makes me extremely thankful for this site.

Contenders: Turner (Union), Mullins (Ridgeview), Lowe (Narrows), Johnson (Thomas Walker)

Honorable Mentions: Carroll (Marion), Stone (John Battle), Crist (Virginia High), Palmer (Patrick Henry), Harris (Tazewell)

I really think we need to consider Nick Johnson at Thomas Walker, he's the third head coach they've had in as many years and led them to the playoffs

I agree with this list and would add Graham's Tony Palmer as a contender.

Bluefield is #1 and Powell Valley is #2, and there’s really no debating that based strictly on the hardware.  There’s a good argument for #3 between Gate City, Giles, Appalachia, and Graham (sheer longevity).  I’d probably give the nod to Gate City, but it’s arguable.

I concur with the schools you listed.  I think Clintwood could also be in the conversation.

  5. I've certainly been impressed this season with Coach Travis Turner and the Bears after Bailey Turner's injury.   I think it speaks volumes that Union scored 49 against my Canes without throwing a pass or James Mitchell scoring.  The Bears have finally found an effective offense after losing #16, while proving they're more than a one-man team.  The speedy G-Men have been impressive all season, while the Bears have worked for two months to overcome adversity.  I think the G-Men win this game in September or October on any field.  But it's November at Bullitt, which should bode well for the Bears.

Nope too many great games from the old PV crowd , by the way Zirkle is the son of Todd Zirkle he played against Giles at the Park back in the day

I was curious if they were related.  Todd Zirkle was a heck of a football player for the PV Vikings in the mid-1990s.  Dang good on the diamond too, if memory serves.
