  1. Plan is to be there to watch this game.
  2. Oh she was doing her part so I’m not defending that. Let’s say inappropriate gestures and I don’t mean just giving the bird although that was done as well.
  3. Not sure why it’s making me quote the above but… lol Congrats to y’all. It was obvious y’all had the team to win and like I said before we were the underdogs with y’all being at home and undefeated. No crying about officiating, y’all just beat us. In saying that I think we had a chance to win the game but we came up short. I thought in second half we made adjustments to stop you run better but you line verse ours was simply the difference. Bradshaw…. Well he was the difference maker. Your QB was playing in obvious pain so kudos for thst. I will say that in pregame I was disappointed in some of the actions I was seeing. That Im sure Graham fans would be be proud of. Won’t say numbers of the kids but it wasn’t appropriate. I knew we were good enough to get to this game but knew getting past this game would take perfection and a little luck. Good luck next week.
  4. To be perfectly honest, I have no idea. I'm just the food and drink guy.
  5. Headed down this afternoon. Go Raiders! PO1 ARISE
  6. LOL! I'm sure he is extremely dangerous. He burnt us for one two years ago.
  7. I'll be toting all the drinks, halftime snacks, and after game snacks for the team down. If y'all see a slate blue Tundra with Smith Strong and the Appomattox A on it please leave the tires alone. 😁 I'll also have post games snacks. Will they let me drive up next tot the locker room. I know they have a road that goes up there.
  8. Thought you were putting us up?
  9. I say that I have the utmost respect for Dr Falwell. He was such a people person and his love for the kids of that university was evident to anyone who crossed paths with him. He would routinely been seen with the kids, whether it was at sporting events, chapel, or just driving up the roads on campus swerving hi big SUV at the blowing that loud horn. you could see he belly laughing when he knew he startled you good. I've been on the receiving end of good punch in the side only to turn around to see him blaming his wife for hitting me. He was a man of faith who stuck his neck out to try to accomplish what he felt the Lord had called him to do. Most people who ever met him knew he wasn't what the media tried to paint him to be. Jerry Jr...... never really had a good feeling about him Jonathan seems down to earth and has the same heart for people his dad did.
  10. Thanks! I'll be there!
  11. I know. Thanks for the support and prayers for Coach you talked about. couldn’t resist the petty jab there. Safe travels.
  12. Shame you can’t come to cheer on the Raiders. 😆
  13. Not how I meant it. Lol Although every game is the last game till the next is earned. Last game for us unless we earn another.
  14. Well I hate to see a kid miss his last game due to an injury. Kudos to him for toughing it out it sounds like.
  15. That was not this team. That was last years team. This team is the visitors and the lower ranked team.
  16. Graham is favorite for sure. That’s ok, maybe the Raiders will take the underdog role as a challenge.
  17. Well the bad luck for SWVA has to end at some point. Someone above said it right when they said this Appo team ain’t what the other teams were and surely ain’t what the 15,16 team was. Out of all 5 teams, this team ain’t them. They are good obviously, but we will see just how good. They will come to Bluefield ready play and Coach Smith will have them well prepared. If Graham is looking past them Bluefield won’t be a happy town come Saturday night.
  18. While I stand whole heartedly behind what this school stands for I do feel it’s an injustice they way they do their sports. Fully support a partner wanting send their kid there for a Christian education but when a lot of these kids are god athletes is when it starts to get fishy to me. I could go into more but don’t feel like starting my morning off like that. Lol
  19. Appomattox is starting to click. Glenvar played like they always do, they competed extremely well and played tough. Sorry Graham fans but I’m a Ridgeview fan tomorrow. Would love to have a home game.
  20. You know. I got hit by one of those things once. Not the hammer itself but the handle. In the face too. Glad I'm able to type about it. LOL!
  21. We beat Rustburg 17-6 who I think that year was the Number 1 seed in their region in 3A Heritage 29-21 (game was 22-0 at half and the hot humid conditions had out starters (two way players) dropping like flies- Heritage "out benched" us in the second half to bring the score close) who went a couple rounds into the playoffs in 3A Altavista 42-13 (they went 11-4 that year) Amherst 35-12 who went a couple rounds into the playoffs in 4A Goochland (who was undefeated) we beat 45-13 in the state semi game. Richlands for the tile 42-7. Riverheads was good too though but I wouldn't bet against that group from Appomattox. They didn't love winning as much as they HATED the thought of losing, winning was just the by-product.
  22. Dan River refused to move that game (I forget what hurricane it was that came through). They knew that with the style of football they played and the wet field slowing us down that the soaked field and driving rain would play into their favor. That and we were missing our best lineman and #26 Delonte Kelso that game which helped allowed the score to stay close. We kicked a 40+ yard FG in that rain too. Special teams baby!! In saying all that, DR was good, I think they were looking past Union to a rematch with us. There were articles in the paper about the possible rematch.
  23. We have, twice, and the one time there was complaining about the officiating down there in Region D. Lol! We are definitely beatable as are most teams. Maybe we will get to travel to Region D this year if we can make it that far.
  24. Appomattox up 50-0 at half They had Nelson at about zero yards of offense in the first half and then their RB got loose for about a 60 yard run.
