Like I said, I see both perspectives. However, if both dugouts can scream and chant at the top of their lungs for an entire game, I see nothing wrong with the pitcher screaming Let's go after a strikeout.

Must be a winning program that have won some state titles and sending kids off to D1 schools and 90% of their graduates to College (whether to play football or not), like Graham then... Am I correct in that assumption?

Carly is quiet and reserved off of the field and about as nice of a kid that you could ever meet. But on the field, she is very intense and competitive. Personally, I like to see the enthusiasm and energy, I don't think opposing teams like it that much. I can see bot perspectives, however. As long as the umpire doesn't have any issues with it...

Wow. That's a bit of a shocker. I watched Tazewell win the 1st game of the day, didn't stay for the 2nd. I was expecting GC to win also, they have had a tremendous season. Best of luck to the Dawgs on Thursday!!

No. The bats just need to come alive against the better pitchers. She can't be expected to pitch a shutout each time out. The bats have improved somewhat throughout the season, however. Another concern is that the defense hasn't had to do a lot either with Compton on the mound. They are very capable and well coached. just may be a little rusty in game situations. I for one am hoping that they put it all together in the postseason.

Home school would be my guess. (If true) The girl travels all over the country playing for an elite team and the travel is very demanding. I would love to see her stay right where she is at.

Also knocked off a couple of Quality teams out of Tennessee in the Kingsport and Knoxville tourneys. Compton had 18 strikeouts in their loss. Hats off from the young lady from Richlands who connected on the 2 home runs. Lady Bulldogs need to generate some offense against the better pitchers, Compton is very good, but the dogs will have to generate some runs as the competition gets better.

Anybody have the regional brackets?

Compton struck out 17 in an 8-0 win over Wyoming East today.

I want to go watch Tazewell's girls play pretty soon. They should be pretty good again. Heard they won 2 at the jamboree they had last weekend, they went to a tourney in Kingsport and did well against some very good competition (won 1 and tied 1 - from what I was told). I think they will make another run at the region D title this year.

I would almost bet that Fort will be on one of those open dates.

An easy rule change would be if a team is intensdng to play in the National Tournament, they should be allowed to opt out of their district regular season schedule and district tourney to play in higher profile tourneys and the national championship tourney. But not both state and national. Easy fix.

Or you send your kids to one of the many schools in Henrico, Chesterfield or Hanover Counties. The Metro Richmond area has a population of around 1,200,000. Much larger then within the city of Richmond by Comparison (If you consider 220,000 much smaller)...

John Marshall, Armstrong and TJ are all in close proximity to each other. They all have 2A enrollment numbers. It is a less desirable part of the city and people have moved away from that part of the city. There have been calls to consilidate as long as I can remember.
