Now that basketball season is over for the Central Warriors, and TJ will be in his administration position. Who does everyone think will be the next Coach at Central?

The Ref that was underneath the basket was on the other side., 2nd official was standing infront of Centrals bench and the 3rd was on the opposite side and he was the one that waived the basket off at the end of the game. I've seen 2 different videos one from Twitter and then the angle from which these pictures are taken and Hayes gets the shot off and then u hear the buzzer sound. But I have no doubt that the 3rd official was looking at the lights on the backboard and waived it off. But in High School basketball you go by the horn not the lights cause no high school around has the lights on the backboard.

Central and Tn High scrimmaged today (3/4/20) does anybody know how it went

I know I counted atleast 9 they missed in the 1st half. When Gate City was trying to run the clock out and Central got the steal with 15 seconds why didn't Central call a timeout to set something up.

Central will scrimmage a team from Kentucky on march 7th

Don't think the scrimmage with TN High will be played due to Central still playing Basketball and the scrimmage at Va Tech was cancelled

Anybody got any dates on some scrimmages going on around the area. Central is scheduled to scrimmage TN High on Saturday but not sure if mother nature is gonna allow it

Central should have a pretty good season, they have some talented young kids coming up this year. Should have a little more depth at pitching, speed and some kids that can swing the sticks Lee and Ridgeview should be about the same as they were last year Gate City should be good again. my opinion it will be Central, Battle, GC and Union battling it out once Abingdon heads off to 3A playoffs

Bishop will be signing his letter of intent to play at Milligan on March 10th, 2pm @ Central High School

I was at the this game, and Richlands had a great game plan and came out from the opening tip and out hustled Central the whole first half, Now after the 1st half Central changed up its Defense and gave Richlands different looks. My opinion on when the momentum shifted was in the middle of the 3rd Quarter when Central got it inside to there Big man (Tre Mullins) and he scored 5 straight points, and Simmons got his 4th foul for Richlands and Central went on a run. Now Central bounced from a 2-3 zone to a 3-2 zone. which kept the Berry Kid in check in the 2nd half. I don't think he took a shot the whole 2nd half. Also when the Simmons kid posted up he was met my several players from Central, He saw Jordan Bishop, Brody Allison or Elijah Hayes when he went to make a post move. And if I'm correct I don't think he scored in the 2nd half either. Now I've watched a lot of high school basketball over the years and I have to say that Richlands has one of the Classiest basketball staffs around, not sure of the head coach's name but he is a Class act.

Who all out of this 2020 Class are going on to play Baseball in College: I've heard Jordan Bishop from Central, and Garrett Bowman from Battle have committed to play at Milligan College Jon Compton from Gate City has committed to Walter State

I've watched Isaiah play ball ever since he was little and he's always been a good basketball player. There are times that I've seen him play this year and hes been what u call a ball hog. I've always said if he would play team basketball and run the offense and get others involved in the post that it would open up the perimeter for the outside game that he has. and it would make him a more well rounded player like Hayes. Hayes can score when he wants but when he's on a fast break he's gonna get to the open man for the best shot. But for the talent and height that Central has this year, they don't have a inside post game what so ever. they have 3 kids over '6'4 (Mullins, Collie, Bishop) that have post moves but are not used at all. I just think if Central would get back to playing Fundamental Team basketball like they did back in the summer they could make a run. But i'm afraid some egos are gonna get in the way of how far this Central team can go and sadly they both have the same last name.

When will the selections for 1st/2nd team conference and regions be announced

I'm assuming both Lebanon and Va High went with their aces last night and if so will they be available for their first round game of regions

Battle will host Ridgeview Union will host Lee GC will host Central, hearing several different sites for this game, heard it could be played a Grogan Park or Domtar Park in Kingsport.

I heard if Central, Union and Gate City all finished the regular season tied it would be decided by a coin flip, but if they go by head to head like U Bear is saying. Wouldn't that make Gate City the 5 seed and since Central and Union outscored GC. and then they were even head to head so would there not be a coin flip between them. Not really sure on how the loss to Lee in the FCA tournament effects them cause it doesn't count towards conference play for Lee or Central. Central beat Lee twice in the regular season and Union and Lee play on Monday (May 13th)

here is the Standings in the Mountain 7 conference for baseball per the Coalfield 5/3/19 1 Abingdon 9-0 13-2 Abingdon should be 10-0 14-2 with their win over Battle 2 John Battle 8-1 10-6 Battle record is 8-2 and 10-7 now 3 Central 5-3 8-7 Central record should be 5-4 and 8-8 with the loss on 5/2/19 to Gate City 3-2 4 Union 4-5 9-6 Union had a non district game against Eastside on 5/1/19 and their record should be 4-5 and 10-6 5 Gate City 4-5 8-7 Gate City record is now 5-5 and 9-7 6 Lee 1-8 3-10 7 Ridgeview 0-9 3-12 Hope this helps everyone, but looks like the 1 and 2 spots are set for the conference tournament and its a dog race for the 3-5 spot
