Majority of the kids in the Galax program haven't been vaccinated form my understanding but I could be wrong about that.

Most kids are not getting the vaccine.

From my understanding the local health department in Galax made the call to shut us down for 10 days. I don't have a clue what will go on from here on out. I'm just hoping for a full season and everyone can stay safe and healthy

Galax had one positive case in the program and got put on hold for 10 days, had absolutely nothing to do with a party that several players supposedly attended that was posted in another thread....Just a rumor that want true!

Because that is what the health department said we had to do because of close contact, I'd put money on it that we are not the only team this happens to. People can talk and spread rumors about it all they want but that doesn't make any of them true. The principal called parents today to explain it so I'll go with what I was told when he called and by what the coaches and players have said and were told.

Rumor isn't true!!! Only one staff member or player tested positive so whole team has to sit out.

They actually have Cole Pickett working with the tightends as of now.

Ne doubt he is a beast but in the second half he came off the end and Barnes was meeting him in the backfield. I've watched a lot of the film from Saturday and it was like two trucks hitting back there in the second half.

Barnes blocked him every time he was his side of the field and handled him pretty well, some of the riverheads guys were saying that's because he was holding him but I've went back and watched some of the film and it was just 2 damn good football players going at it. When Barnes was in pass protection against him he didn't get to Picket and if he did it wasn't often, I would have to watch all the film to be certain.

He is a good hire for them in my opinion.

Galax can't be off like they were Friday night if the want to win this one, they will need to find their groove and find it early. If they play like they're capable of they can win this game.

Missing the open receivers and penalties were the mistakes I was referring to, I believe it had more to do with Galax themselves instead of the Narrows defense.

Galax drove right down the field to start the second half and was on the one yard line when a controversial fumble was called. From where I was sitting it looked like the QB was laying on his back when the ball came out but someone else may have had a better view. I'm not sure how much it was the Narrows defense shutting them down or Galax making mistakes on the offensive side of the ball because they still moved the ball pretty well when they were not making mistakes. I'm not trying to take nothing away from Narrows play in the second half it just appeared to be more on Galax shutting them self down then the other teams defense. With that being said congratulations to Narrows on one hell of a year.

Galax D isn't as good as last year but they aren't bad. Grayson got a lot of yards on the first two series with big plays due to missed assignments and players being out of position. They shut them out after that until the subs came in later in the game and Grayson got a lot of yards and two scores against the younger guys. The game really wasn't as close as the score would lead you to believe in my opinion. As for GW it's hard to tell much about them yet with them only playing Bland, I'd say they're still pretty good and we will know more about both teams after Saturday.

Galax has also been broadcasting the game on 96.5 the cat as well.
