Can you point out anyone who's specifically making those kind of statements? I've not seen one person, literally, one person, saying Grraham is not better than Union. Not one. Graham is better, the deserved to win, they made more plays and executed better. They're the better team right now, not one person disputes that.

only one person whined about the refs, and he wasn't from Big Stone or Appalachia, I believe his zip code is 24605.

Not about Graham and not about you.

    No one specific.

Like my name says, I like to leave some crap in the thread and see who is drawn to it. 😆

    Come on, that's funny!

  2. I like this game now.

If Tech had converted their third downs and scored every possession, they would have won. Don't say they are not great, it was a few slip ups that cost them the game.  Oh yeah, and the refs.

So if they wouldn't have had penalties, converted on 3rd downs, not turned the ball over, and scored more,  they would have won.

I think they are the better team with better players....except for that. 🤣🤣🤣

  3. If I say Graham was lucky to win against Union and will be lucky to win against Galax. Will some of you be happy then?

Radford has the most specialist special players, better than Graham and slightly better than Galax, because Galax had turnovers. Graham got lucky against Union because Union had an off night and drove the ball each drive. GW got lucky against Radford because Radford's offense wasn't connecting. I can do this all night about every game. It is what it is when the final whistle blows. Mistakes happen, turnovers happen, penalties happen, and you can't take them out of the game or say "well if they didn't..."  BECAUSE THEY DID.

I hope Graham wins. I think Galax's running game is tough. If Graham can get up by a couple TD's, it could force Galax out of their comfort zone and possibly force mistakes in the passing game.

We constantly hear other schools complain about the visitor's bleachers so it's hard to tell if it's a joke or not....I wish they would put more in

Yes, it was a complaint. I remember last year the band got up and stood the whole game so more parents, etc. could sit.  The complaint came with a tongue-in-cheek joke attached. I do think it is unfortunate to have such a nice facility with minimal visitor seating.

Yeah because it's Galax fans fault for the bleachers on the visitor's side and I think there is  more than 175 seats there anyways, believe it or not most schools fans don't even fill them up.

    R-E-L-A-X

    Breath in, hold.......release.

It's a joke. I'm sure its not the Galax fans fault. As I am sure no one would seriously let only 175 people sit on the Galax side at The Mitch.

Hyperbole- to exaggerate for effect (used by a lot of comedians)

  6. I'm so confused now.

Is Graham bad? Is Union Bad? Are officials Good or Bad? Are we both Bad? Are we both good? Are we friends now? This board is like watching the Blair Witch (look it up), all over the place and may cause motion sickness.

    😄😁🤬💩💪🙌💣

I thought he was replying to Tony’s comments in the newspaper. He implied Union should’ve been called for many more holding calls than they were

If so, my mistake, I jumped the gun.

Message board banter will sometimes cause that to happen. 🤐

Just my $.02.. I think priority should be on taking care of the penalties a team did have rather than just saying “well.. they did it too!”

Did you not comprehend the words typed on the screen? Graham was guilty and they need to do better but if it is a holding call for one team should it not be for the other?

If you're watching basketball and its a hack on one end of the floor and not the other, I bet you're pissed too.

I agree 100% with  clean up you own mistakes

  9. I do not think there were phantom flags in the game. Graham was guilty on most of the calls. The problem with the officiating was, it seemed to be biased. Union runs the ball 98% of the time and has been known for their holding miscues for a couple years now. All of a sudden the power run team only has one holding call which was a clear takedown, in which the offensive player laid on the defensive player refusing to let him up (holding). Union held regularly and it was not called.

As for the Unsportsmanlike penalties, Graham was guilty on most of them too. It was probably preached to Union players  that Graham reacts when instigated and the second man usually gets the flag. Yet, no disagreement that Graham was guilty. That will be a common theme the rest of the year until the players learn they don't have to snap back after every shoulder bump or cross word. To be honest its only a few and when watching film you know who they are and you can bait them into it.

Union started getting penalized when the game appeared out of reach due to the time on the clock and needing two scores. The same activity was going on the whole game. I recommend going back to NFHS and watching the game again and see what was called and what was missed.

Union is good and the two teams will probably meet again.

I would have said something. Be direct. Tell them their actions are not ok. And after that make your point.

I have jumped onto other fanbases for making fun of a certain Union fan who tends to be very vocal, but he’s also got an Intellectual Disability. It was during the PV days. He was doing the John Cena “You can’t see me!” and people were egging him on. I made my point and that was that.

I did tell them that those were terrible things to say and extremely disrespectful. They continued for a bit and then moved out of the visitor bleachers. I wanted to really lash out and make a scene because that behavior infuriates me. It seemed as though they were looking for a fight and I was smart enough not to give it to them. As I would have been arrested.

NOW, that was one time, and one experience. That is not to say the fanbase is such or anything like that. It was hopefully an isolated event in the past.

  11. The first time I went to BSG to watch Graham, there were Union fans, students I presumed, sitting on the visitor side when we arrived. They yelled and talked crap to fans and players, specifically using the N word regularly in a derogatory way towards Graham fans, players, and coaches. That made me think Union did not have any Black players. I was wrong with that assumption.  I was appalled at those young people. I wanted to shut them up myself, but being a grown man I of course could not.

That was my worst experience as a fan.

You do realize you’re making fun of a name that has a deeply perjorative history that Shake Rag Forever is working tirelessly to change, right?

Obviously not... I make jokes and and sarcasm quite regularly because its hard to take things on a message board so seriously.

It was a shirt people had on and saying Shake Rag forever. If it was harmful why have shirts and sayings?
