  1. Cardinals elect new Pope... How would you like your eggs???
  2. That should take care of everybody...for now...
  3. Finally getting some attention!!! Virginia Preps
  4. Regarding your signature...JW didn't score, he returned his INT to inside the 20 and they got a FG out of it. Rouse took his INT to the house for the games only TD...
  5. It is not "sticky"...quit posting on it and it will disappear...
  6. I've seen both Sowers and Hall play...Sowers couldn't carry Hall's jock...
  7. [ QUOTE ] So is Carlock really retiring or not? [/ QUOTE ] Not that I'm aware of....
  8. [ QUOTE ] And also don't forget the "mercy rule" in Virginia of a continually running second half clock in blowouts, which was the case in that game. In other words, the game wasn't as close as the final score might have showed... [/ QUOTE ] There is no such "rule" in VA. Coaches and refs can agree to run the clock in games in which the outcome is already decided...like the Lee-Bluefield game this past year.
  9. [ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] He lit your secondary up last year. [/ QUOTE ] Yeah, he lit up the the JV secondary, not the first team because they were on the sidelines watching...lol [/ QUOTE ] Yeah, but that JV secondary he lit up last year will be Bluefield's STARTING secondary this year...
  10. [ QUOTE ] There's justsomething fundamentally wrongwith this picture when I see Pike view on James Monroe and Princeton's schedules. Now I know there's no good excuse for JM and Princeton to not to play each other. There are alot of Maverick players that would love the chance to bust Ryan Wickline's wining mouth if those to teams play each other in the next 3 years. In other news, we're all looking forward to the big college opener between USC and Concord U. [/ QUOTE ] True, but with Princeton in the MSAC now, they only have two openings for non-conference opponents and PikeView is their only chance at winning a game...
  11. [ QUOTE ] Has princeton ever had a good football team in AAA? honestly... [/ QUOTE ] Yeh, a couple of years ago they made it to the AAA Semis...lost to Parkersburg South...whom they had beaten during the regular season.
  12. Don't know...I would guess in the next couple of years.
  13. The issue is currently dead and the School Super was fired...
  14. Nevermind...I found it. I think VAPreps is looking for confirmation on this one...I can only offer "I've never heard of the kid". Anyone else???
  15. Where is this located??? His name is not on the list of propects...is this a post on one of the boards?
  16. [ QUOTE ] I got looking around on the virginiapreps.com site and noticed something odd the other day. They have a future prospect out of VA high. Whats odd about that? Well he is class of 2008 and they list his stats against 8th graders. I dont know if any of you have seen the JV teams lately but boy they sure were down last season. Someone brought it to their attention but I really dont think they know what they do at virginiapreps.com lol. Seems to me they just go by pure hearsay anyways. [/ QUOTE ] Jimmy... I looked on the VAPreps.com Class of 2008 and don't see any kid from Virginia High. There is one from Gate City and one from Powell Valley though. The only mention I see of "stats" from middle school are the two kids from Stonewall Jackson in Manassas...and those are only strength and speed stats, not game stats. VA Preps Class of 2008 And upon further review...there are NO KIDS FROM VIRGINIA HIGH listed in ANY CLASS on VAPreps.com...2005, 2006, 2007, or 2008.
  17. Probably the thought of having to move up and play AA in a couple of years! I know, I know...bad joke and very inappropriate. Sorry to hear about his passing...
  18. The players they have listed as "prospects" are submitted by coaches, news media, and other folks who they deem as "credible" sources (like me). If a player's name is on the list, it isn't because they (VAPreps.com) have seen the player in game action, its based on word of mouth, game film, and/or stats submitted by the sources mentioned above. In defense of VAPreps, they don't have the manpower or resources to cover every game or see every team in action. They do the best with what they've got and rely very much on other websites (like SWVAFootball.com) and other people (like me) to help supply them with info for their site. In my opinion, VAPreps is one of the better Rivals.com high school websites...I've visited many of them for comparison...and it offers much more news and info on high school athletes than most of the others. If you feel that there are players in SWVA being overlooked by their prospect list, send me their names, height, weight, and OFFICIAL stats from the previous season and I'll will certainly pass those names along to them.
  19. [ QUOTE ] well they were pretty good (9-1) and got shocked in the 1st round of the playoffs defently could have been division 3 champs [/ QUOTE ] Not quite. I'll give Grundy their props...they were the best D-3 team in Region IV. However, if they had played Gretna in the State Semis, it would have been just as ugly as the Gretna-Tazewell game.
  20. Who cares where its played...at least it is FINALLY on the schedule!!! When I find out, I let you know for sure.
  21. Coeburn's head coach resigned...no biggie... Sanders steps down as Coeburn football coach
  22. some of the topics and pictures were getting "close to the edge" and I didn't want this board to go over it. Please be careful with what you post...
  23. First, Frank Beamer was named ACC Football Coach of the Year. Today, it was announced that Seth Greenberg was named ACC Basketball Coach of the Year. Not a bad way to make an entrance, huh???
  24. Trust me...you don't want to be me...
