Prior to the Glenvar game, Radford was the clear favorite. I say they are still the favorite. Graham is the underdog in this one. Radford won the right to host and deservedly so. Christiansburg has a very nice field since they got turf, should be a great venue.

I don’t know much about Princeton, but I think Bluefield wins this game. Probably a close game. Bluefield has a good squad and they have athletes. They just need to find their grove on offense and much like Graham stop with the penalties. If Bluefield loses then Beaver nation will be in an uproar. Losing to Graham and Princeton both 3 years in a row….
This call had me irate. Calls were awful on both sides all night but this one just put the Cherry on top. Those officials should never have the chance to officiate another game.
This picture should live on in infamy and beaver should apologize for it.
Tazewell travels well, this is true and has always been true. Tazewell has stuck with their team through good and bad times.
Graham travels well to big games. The State games, if away, usually draw a big contingent from Graham.
Being somewhat of a Graham fan and a Tazewell fan, I see it this way.
Graham used to travel well when the competition level within the district was more evenly matched - perhaps traveling better then most of the others in the district, I remember some sizable crowds from Bluefield. ( 70's and 80's ....yes, I've been around a while_...Seems as if Graham of around 1989 to about 2004 was dominant and a lot of the fans quit going to district games, figuring they wouldn't be competitive. Then Graham became a cellar dwellar from about 2007-2014 and fans didn't go figuring it wasn't a good product on the field. I think they were disgruntled with what was going on with the program. The Graham crowds have gotten better lately, but I think some of the games aren't traveled well again because Graham has been dominating the district. That's how I see it anyway. They will show up in force come playoff time. Having a very good ball team has some pros and cons. I expect a huge crowd from Graham for the Bluefield game this year. I think the largest crowd I've seen at that game was around 14,000. Standing room only around the fences.
Look at it this way. Graham brings more fans to one game, then some teams bring for an entire season. Not everybody goes to every game. Some folks only make it to one or 2 games. The Graham folks make sure that they make it to the big one. It's hard to have the biggest game of the season as the first game. It's like playing a state title game in game 1. The fans show back up come playoff time.

I would imagine that they would have to tear down the fence between the 2 fields to make room for an eventual grand-stand on the school side of the field and have enough room for visitors stands. If that happens, it is a good indication that they are at least considering a stadium there in the future. To put in new turf exactly where the practice field is now, may not leave sufficient room for a grandstand / press box, appropriate lighting, etc... An aluminum grand-stand similar to what they have at Christiansburg would be awesome. I would also think that they would keep what is left of the other field (most of it should be left) for practice areas for the band / soccer / little league, etc... I think the best option for parking would be in the two large grassy areas in front of the school, as Gridiron mentioned, if and when a stadium were to ever be built.
Most of you younger folks do not rember when graham's field had bleachers on the side opposite the school which were overall bigger than Tazewell visitors. They also had a smaller set close to the school.it was used for little league play. Even had a score board and concession stand.
5, but really 3. The last one by Pennix in the final 1.5 minutes didn't matter as game was all but over. Another one by the fake punt in which Appo wasn't going to get that fake punt even if he completed it and it was desperation. Graham would have got good field position and I don't think Graham scored with the short field after the fake punt int, so really....Appo had 3 that truly mattered.
What you say is true but each turnover takes a potential scoring drive frome you and takes time off the. Clock.all a disadvantage to your team.
Just saw the facebook post. Dang, they just take over when they go on the road. Working out in the weightroom of Bluefield University, practicing on Graham's Home field, gotta give them credit, they make sure they can prepare. They come in like they already own the place.
They are just trying to get inside of our heads and have us lose track of what we need to do. Just focus on the game not on the small BS they are doing on the side
