Bluefield might just get killed by Amherst but unlike other teams that water down their schedule to make the playoffs Bluefield schedules tough competition to prepare for the playoffs and if playing Amherst in a scrimmage helps toward that goal then so be it.

Well if it was just that simple then why did Eades and his crew get suspended by the ACC?...Him and his crew must have done something to warrant that kind of punishment, because conferences just don't give out suspensions for no reason at all because it will give the perception that your conference officials are incompetent.

My dad told me a story about when he was in the Marine Corps boot camp in '59 that on the first day that they were on the rifle range he was really doing good and the rifle instructor asked where did he learn to shoot and his Senior Drill Instructor interjected and said "The SH!THEAD is from West Virginia"...Generally your best snipers\marksmen come from states that have a tradition of hunting where young boys are taught how to track, camouflage,shoot, and maintain silence at a very young age.

I don't hate him...actually him and I get along pretty well and have played with him on the same team in the North-South all-star game and in some other basketball tournaments after our college careers were over, but a lot of people outside of the officials fraternity think that Coach K has Eades in his back pocket...this possibly started when Eades and his crew were SUSPENDED by the ACC for at least a game when Sheldon Williams took a deliberate swing at a Florida State player and when Eades went to break up a possible fight Eades did not hesitate to throw out the player from Florida State without doing anthing to Williams.

that on 03/10/09 that my oldest son and his wife had their second child at 7:33pm and my only daughter and her husband had their first child at 11:22pm on the same day plus, my two year old grand-daughter will be three on the 19th of march...not only will I have two grand-daughters that were born on the same day in March but all of my grand-daughters will have birthdays in March.

This is the correct call on both players...Evan if they were both able to come back soon it would take time to get back into playing shape and and getting their timing back in time for the post season plus the chance of re injuring themselves.

I liked what Bobby Knight said when Burnt Cheeseburger made the comment about never letting a player argue with him and Bobby Knight said that a player had the right to argue with him but that player better dam well be 100% right and he had to be 100% wrong or their was hell to pay...not the exact words but you get the picture.

Vt definitely let that game get away from them...but it happens even to the best of teams...VT just needs to forget about this game and move on but I do feel your pain because as a WVU fan I saw WVU lose two games in which they much like VT did tonight out play their opponents but let the game get away from them in the UCONN and Kentucky games...Very frustrating to say the least.

I can't recall any 28-point loss for a Bluefield team but I can only remember mid -70's to present and the late 70's bBluefield had some pretty good teams and even made it to Charleston in '77 or '78.

Acc-Big East fans can argue about who has the toughest conference till they are blue in the face but one thing is certain and that is these two conferences are dog-eat-dog conferences...almost all conference games are tough as hell...It's like 2 out of 3 games you are playing a top 25 team which makes for exciting games and teams cannot afford to take any in-conference games lightly.

I just got off the phone with Matt Maddows father and he told me that they were told that Allen and Powell were going to transfer at the Princeton football banquet.

Does anyone think that Boyd might think about VT?...I've heard that he wants to play out of state but after the recent developments with WVU and UT that he might change his mind.
