about the mysterious loss of a down, i seen a fan screaming at a coach telling him that they lost a down giving CC the ball when it was supposed to be 4th down, the coach said "I know". Their was so much confusion by the officials all night that they all looked like rookies

They only had 21 players at the Graham game tonite. I heard that a lot of the seniors quit the team, {did'nt this happen last year also }. My hats off to the young men from Grundy, its hard being beat like they have in recent weeks and they still gave all they had the entire game, Good luck to you guys and hold your heads high. i apologize to any i offended, the mount view crowd was VERY hospitable and gave the band a very nice ovation after their performance, really nice people. The football team on the other hand was out of control,in which i blame the coaches. There was a lot of talent on the field for mount view and if the coaches used it wisely you guys would have a great program

we lost Bobby West in the bluefield game {tremdous loss} and as of yesterday no one else was hurt

nice post, just one other thing-What in the world does Graham practice throughout the week? Same plays over and over, and extremely predictable. Most can guess the play by the formation their lined up in

blacksburg probably was the better team but it wasn't the loss, it was how graham looked in losing this game

Marrs is a good coach,something just isn't clicking but i believe adjustments will be made and will get back to where we should be

My opinion: 1. Play your best players. Their are 2 three year starters standing on the sideline while Graham is on defense. Graham starts a 5'9ish tackle backed with 5'9ish linebacker, both 1st year starters. Martinsville exposed this weakness and Blacksburg rode it hard. They are being run over (literally) Hard to see seniors standing on the sideline when they cant get it done. 2.Bobby West-HUGE loss for Graham,strongest kid on team, emotional leader on the field, No one wants to see anybody on the field injured. GET OVER IT. 3George Damon-Nastiest player in the region, Thrives on hitting people. Absolutely shut down Bluefield from the defensive end spot and layed hit after hit and the qb and rb's until they didnt want anymore. He hasn't play maybe 5 plays on denfense since ?????????????????????????????????????????????????????? 4 Emotion- No high 5's, No pat on the back from other players, No emotion period. I know they were flagged last week for celebrating after a big hit but a least they had some emotion 5 Waiting for the big one-Brown has tremendous speed and its no secret but you cant keep running plays to the outside hoping he'll break it, Teams are setting up to stop the outside. Carper is just as fast and isnt getting the carries (he also have a back that went to state for the 100m that doesnt get it at all, though he still needs a little polishing) 6 QB- Need to calm Cole down, runs out of the pocket when he dosen't need to. He has tremendous talent, just needs to trust his line more ,make better decisions throwing the ball,and get rid of it faster. I am NOT discrediting any player on this team NOR am I giving up on this season. I know most of them personally, and they ARE a GREAT team, but adjustments ARE needed. I used to go sit with coach Carlock while these guys lifted during the off season and we only talked about football 1 time and he told me - " This bunch may be the best class to walk the halls of Graham"- The potential is there- just have to live up to it

You have to play your best players,which is not happening

Martinsville played a great game and I take nothing from them but Graham killed themselves, 2 untimely fumbles,at least 3, maybe 4 bad snaps on punts,and different personnel on defense than in the Beaver game and PENALTIES. All of which contributed to the loss. Still it's only 1 loss and I don't see this happening again, at least not to this extent

i dont think keeping your starters in against a weak single A team is going to help them, They were dishearted and had given up, so whats the use

CPF is the only one on here to realize that Mahood kicked the ball straight-up and he's a soccer style kicker. DESIGNED play

The starting center for Graham, Brandon Robinson, broke a bone in his foot by a rock sticking up out of the ground. it was the size of a golf ball
