  1. I was not at the game nor did I see the play....BUT being catchable is not a factor at all in calling pass interference in high school football.
  2. Well I guess Bluefield could have gone up to the Middle School and played some 7th and 8th graders against them. They take a knee at the end of the first half to keep from scoring and play 9th graders the entire 2nd half. What else could have been done to hold down the score. This guy needs to coach his kids up to play better cause no matter if he likes it or not Bluefield does plays in his league.....Class AA WV football. No wonder his kids quit since he himself is a quitter. Let's not work to get better ourselves let's just QUIT!
  3. Rules I don't understand how with Gate City coming to town next week the schedule is "lightening up somewhat for a couple of weeks". Are you insane? The Blue Devils will be a huge test for the Beavers to say the least. They are 100% healthy now and a much better team than lost to Richlands.
  4. That is a bit easier...I think year in and year out the have a decent chance to beat Patrick County but not sure that year in and year out they would fare any better with Pulaski than they would the Beavers but the gate for both schools would be much better with Bluefield... just my opinion.
  5. Not trying to start anything here, but why would Richlands drive by the Beavers to schedule Pulaski County....just wondering.
  6. You mean the same coaching staff that thought ESPN was going to cover the game thought it was roughing....imagine that.
  7. WVVA and the Bluefield Daily Telegraph have some egg on their face too...what a mess.
  8. Five back on defense and seven back on offense I think off the top of my head.
  9. William Fleming coming to Bluefield Oct. 15th.
  10. He is not academically eligible to play in WV...I think if he was he would be playing in Princeton as a senior since he has been in that program for three years already. IMO there should be a nationwide standard for eligibilty at the HS level. That would stop this hopping across the border business.
  11. So the Bluefield BOD did what they do best....nothing. That figures.
  12. I don't know why the Bulldogs need a head coach.....they have about 2,000 assistant coaches in the stands every game.

  14. Safer, less cost to maintain, playable under most any weather condition. Take your pick.
  15. Pound for pound nobody tougher than Aaron Bowes at nose. For my money he needs a spot on this list.
  16. If it is only a one year deal, then the fair thing would be to play at a neutral site lke Charleston's Laidley Field. Fair for both schools. BHS and Scott did that for years.
  17. I would think it was the most miles travelled for a team and its loyal fan base in the history of the WV Playoffs too. Trips to Sherman, Magnolia, and Wheeling were not easy at all. $36 in tolls alone for the folks who made all three games. Over 1300 miles. That has to be some sort of record in itself I would think.
  18. Just go to Pittsburgh and turn left you cannot miss it. It is about 15 miles from the North Pole as best as I can tell.
  19. It really is pretty amazing...if you go back to 1995 this year marks 9 trips to Wheeling and the 15th State Title appearance for the Beavers in 50 years. A truly remarkable record and one any school and community should be very proud of. I think it is also important to note that in those 50 years there has only been three head coaches as well. Quite a long tradition of excellence to say the least.
  20. That may have been true in why the teams did not play for a few years, but once the series started back up I think the reason it did not continue had more to do with the W-L column....as I recall it was 0-2 for the Nadors.
  21. The Tigers might be better off if they tried to get their coach suspended too.
  22. Now that is funny, I don't care who you are. LMAO
  23. What other choice would they have? I guess you could play nine games but all in all I think it is good to play a team you have to work hard to beat and it exposes any weaknesses you may have in time to fix them prior to the playoffs.
