I stated that in a post before about the players gaither having saying that Broyles and Caldwell were the ones they listened to. Just the same situation as Webster and Gilliard.

So you mean to tell me that the year he had Patterson, King, and Crenshaw that he did the right thing in the championship game by having King and Pattrson running a high pick and pop. (Because patterson definately didn't roll to the basket) and Crenshaw on the wing. No rebounding against a team that may have had a 6'3 player. In that game it would appear to me that the strength would have been going inside to either one of those guys and maybe you all would have another championship.

I saw them practice for a little while and I was surprised by how QUIET it was down there. Plenty of parking and not 1 fan at practice. NOT 1. I love my G-Men but like I said in another post 3-7 and back to '88 is what I think. If they win more games than that Coach Marrs should get SWD coach of the year.

What now happens if the next coach doesn't win the championship in the next 3 years? Do you guys run him off also?

Not all of us are jealous. It's just been a while since we went through the same thing. I'm just glad to have a team from the Southwest represent us. There is a real fine line between confidence and cockiness some people just don't know the difference. If you lose alot you will say it's cockiness but if you're a winner you know what it is.

Kids that play pop warner can play up until their 8th grade year. I don't know how old he is but he could be about 12-13. He's damn good though.

QB will be Marrs. Running back will be Lane. I don't know what happened as far as why they ran off someone who started for the past 2 years @ QB but it must have been serious. Say what you want but we will miss him DEARLY.

I would just make both endzones solid white and leave out both names. Maybe put the outlines of both states with a big star where Bluefield is located on the 50yd line. Solves all problems.

You guys are talking about B-ball history and if my mind serves me correctly Bluefield didn't make it to Charleston before they dropped to AA thanks to Beckley always going. The first 2 years they were in AA they won it and people see to beleive that they should win it every year. It's just not going to happen. I know you EXPECT it but it's not going to happen.

I attended a middle school conference track meet yesterday and look at these results. (100m) 1st 11.05 2nd 11.47 (long jump) 1st 20'6" 2nd 18'11 (1600) 1st 5:04 (4x100) 1st 46.21 2nd 46.72 (200) 23.4. I have never seen 7th and 8th graders run and jump like this.

Jessee was at BSC and they have had 3 coaches since he left. Osborne that is at Concord, Gene Banks, and the present coach.

Bluefield State's team has been strggling since the day Coach Jessee left for Florida. They went from the top to the bottom real quick.

I know Coach Carlock is very happy right now. I know Ahmad wishes he were here right now.

Now your getting to personal. How do you know what kind of relationship he has with his kid? Are you listening to him or other people. Is it the disgruntled mother that is not on his arm anymore? You're dumb as hell.

For those of us that are from Bluefield, Virginia it is something special to us regardless of all the smartass comments about him and his character. I don't understand why people from our area can't want the best for everyone that is in a position to bring some notoriety to our area. With that being said I want to wish good luck to the McGlothlin kid from Richlands and all of the area kids that are going on to play college sports.

He's a Bluefield, VA product born and raised. His father now resides on the WV side so that's why he said he lives in WV. He lived across the tracks all his life except for a little time he lived in Burlington with his mother.
