When was the last time Lebanon showed anything in a scrimmage?.......let me answer that.......never! Lebanon looked better than I thought they would, may be a better season than I thought!

Apparently you've never seen I-81 or 460 slick and dangerous? I have several times. Maybe the roads are clear, but all indications from every weather forecast had shown it was going to be bad on the I-81 corridor. These are kids we're talking about and carloads of spectators, a large percentage teenagers. I love football as well as anybody but it is still a game played by teenagers. Why take any kind of chance with these young people? What could be gained? What could be lost? Do you really think it's that important to take that kind of chance?

Nobody wants to risk a bus load of kids in a snowstorm for a football game.....get real. It's a big enough risk without bad weather.

It was a nerve racking game, but I guess that is the best kind. I have to say it was one of the hardest hitting game I've seen in a while. It was sloppy but I believe both teams were trying too hard and wanted to make something big happen every play causing a lotta turnovers. Anyhow, both teams were worn out when it was over.

Has Kelly been bit by the flu bug this year? I know it did a number on Lebanon the last 2 or 3 ballgames. I hope both teams come in healthy and will give us a good show. Last year was a nail biter.

No disrespect meant, but it is hard to get real fired up against Battle right now. In a short time though, I believe Battle will be a team to look out for. Although Lebanon came out flat against Kelly last year, I believe they'll be ready to play this year. They've been needing to get a few players healthy and I believe the break will help.

So, you figure it should just be a 2 team regional playoff? Gate City and JJ Kelly. Which it probably will be but, I believe the number 3 seed knocked off the #1 seed last year......I can understand why you'd want it to be that way. Some of these undeserving teams at 6-4 have only lost one game to a class A team in a squeeker and some 8-2's have lost to a couple of class A teams. I suppose you recommend that teams pad their schedules with cupcakes to help their overall record and ease their way into the playoffs? You also have an 8-2 team that lost to a team that the 6-4 team beat fairly handedly. Your reasoning is flawed.

I've heard that Mance walked across South Holston lake, stopping at each boat talking to the fishermen. He also took a couple of loaves of bread and a few fish, fed the entire town of Richlands. I'm sure during the off season he spends most of his time making the blind see and raising the dead. Apparently, there's been two of those guys walked the earth.......amazing!!

It still boils down to the fact that there are 3 kids not starting that probably came up through the system, pee wee, 8th grade, JV....then when it's their turn to start....they're on the sidelines. Also, there's probably several people in War WV that was lookin forward to this season, only to see it dashed. Of course there are 3 kids playing in War that wouldn't be, probably freshmen that aren't ready. Anyhow, I expect to get ripped for mentioning these things, so, have at it. The kids really don't matter, as long as the W's keep coming, that's really all that matters at all.....isn't it?

I've already moved on, seems like you people have trouble accepting a win. You do understand what a penalty is....don't you? That means your team got an advantage on the play by breaking the rules. My suggestion to cure that problem is; to stop breaking the rules to attain an advantage, thus fewer penalty yards in favor of the opposing team. I understand your defense actually just relaxed every time Lebanon scored or those ruthless officials had the audacity to call penaltys that weren't deserved against your team for the other scores. I really don't understand how Lebanon scored at all on such a flawless team. Had to be just dumb luck to score 32 points on a perfect team. My apologies and good luck with all the other inferior teams you meet this year. I certainly hope your defense doesn't relax too much and the officials start understanding that your team doesn't make mistakes.

Haha......you're wrong!! But, it doesn't matter. Plus, I've been to enough Lebanon - Richlands games to know if Mance could have put up 20 more....he would have. Richlands was having trouble doing anything without a penalty, I guess it just depends on how many times you get caught as to how many points you put up. I guess it is true......apparently Richlands can do no wrong......even if they get caught. I've never seen people take a win so hard! Try to get over yourself and be very thankful for the so-called "tranfers", that's the only "speed" you've got and it had to come from another state.
