Still beat up from the Hazard game (We were missing one of our inside backers for the same reason as well as a DB who had a concussion) honestly even though it is early in the season it is a good time for an open week for us

Well here is what i saw....Haysi put 9 in the box and in there 1st drive Clintwood stayed in a Power I set and pounded the ball 68 yards from the 30 down to the 2 yard line eating almost the whole 1st qtr...a holding penalty well behind the LOS resulted in a 2 and goal from the 20 which Cwood could not overcome. once Clintwood was able to pass alittle and loosen up the Haysi D there Offence look pretty good......Wave D played well but gave up 2 long passes in 3rd and 20+ and 4th and 20+............ The Wave look weak on kick coverage (no other way to put it if that does not get fixed we are going to have to start squib kicking) Watch out for Haysi in a year or two.....this seasons success will require a healthy Blair if that happened they will be a top3 BDD team this season

GW is tough year in and year out but this years team could be the perfect storm......Program wise they are not on the same level at Richlands or GC but they are NASTY this season

9th grader good hands good speed good vision......Runs the wrong route ocationaly but he is a 9th grader that up to this point has been a running back so that should take care of itself with reps. Knock on him in the past has been fumble issues (not been a problem so far this season) IMHO he will be a heck of a player if he continues to develop

Haysi will need to stack the box and force Cwood to pass.....On offence IMHO Haysi needs to dig into Collyball playbook with crazy formations and such as Cwood seems (at this point at least) to be a little slow to adjust to non standard formations......That being said Cwood is NOT that far off talent wise from last years team and I expect the score to play out that way

I agree with wave316 in alot of ways the score did not do Justice to the game .....at least till half way through the 3rd qtr.....the biggist negative I have is after the tipped INT that was returned for a TD I thought CWood folded up alittle and that is something that is a bit worrisome because with there schedule they are going to be in some dog fights this season and need to mentally tough.

Honistly I will be suprised if it is not a close game. IMHO Clintwood is the toughest regular season team Hazard has this year but over the last few years Clintwood sees a team of Hazards Caliber at least 2 or 3 times a season......Big game experance favors the Wave in this one

From what I have heard they have a Transfer in at QB that is a bigger stronger faster version of the QB they just graduated Other than the QB Hazard lost 2 OLinemen but that was about it they are loaded for another run for the KY state title I agree Clintwood MUST be able to take the air out of the ball AND hit enough passes to keep Hazard from stacking the box Hazard presents some major matchup problems for the Wave (Tall recevers vs a short 2ndery is not a good think add to that with 4 and 5 wide Takes Clintwoods strenth on D (LBs) and puts them into pass coverage where they are less effective On the bright Side the thing that gave the Hazard O fits in there 1 loss was a quick D Line which Clintwood has.....all in all it could be a great game

I think the game will remain close for a half at which time the Wave pull ahead and win by 3 scores

Of course I was hearing the same talk last season and the Wave smacked them around preatty bad so I will have to see it

Word is Ervinton lost there starting center and no one on the team other than him has snaped a ball all year so that cant be good

Here is how I sow the game Clintwood moved the ball well in the middle of the field but struggled inside the 20 when both teams had there 1st units on the field. Honaker struggled to get anything going untill they went into these 2 min offence then they picked appart Cwoods sendery like a LL team Honaker MUST find a long snapper or they will have a ton of punts blocked this season Clintwood MUST find a player that can field a punt or there offence may never get on the field Over all I did not think Clintwoods Oline looked as good as they did last week (that may have to do with Honaker being good as much as anything)......I also thought Cwoods pass D needed work (scary thought with pass happy Hazard coming to town next friday) For Honaker I think there running game will look better against other teams and IF they can continue to develop a passing attack they could really make some noise in the playoffs

No at this point the receivers are dropping to many balls to open it up to much

IMHO While Daily is not going to be the fastist guy on the field every game like Meade was he still has great speed so the option is still in play

IDK the Right Tackel is 6' 7" 300+lbs He kind of makes everyone else look smaller IMHO CWood will play there starters the 1st half and reserves the 2nd Not sure yu can relably pick a winner in that situation

I just re watched and there 1st 12 carrys were for a grant total of 22 yards after that the TB broke off a 20 yard run (however he was hit twice in the backfield so not giving the line a pat on the back with that one)

Agreed LPD should be the toughest district top to bottom in the region this season (NO CUPCAKES!!!!)

The Oline looked good? what??? IMHO there D looked good the RBs looked good but the OLine needs help

Because Lee seems to under deliver EVERY year Lebanon even when they are down are in the running year in and year out.....VHS was making strides the last 2 years Why do you think this season will be any diff for Lee?
