  1. Oh, I'm sure it is sarcasm. But he is still attempting to make a point, and that point is dumb.
  2. So now we can just make things up to support our arguments? You have posted many ignorant things, but this takes the cake. Also, did we really need another thread about gun control? Could you not just add this nonsense to one of the other ten threads about the topic?
  3. Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but the executive orders didn't include an assault rifle ban or a ban on high capacity magazines, right? He only proposed legislation that would then have to be passed by the house and senate before it would become law. As for the executive orders that he did issue and can be seen above in ISOaPBR's post, I don't see any of them that oversteps the bounds of the constitution. Please enlighten me, bucfan.
  4. Virginia Tech interviews former Auburn assistant coaches Scot Loeffler and Jeff Grimes http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/hokies-journal/post/virginia-tech-interviews-former-auburn-assistant-coaches-scot-loeffler-and-jeff-grimes/2013/01/14/0cb0a558-5e8a-11e2-90a0-73c8343c6d61_blog.html Virginia Tech Coach Frank Beamer has yet to officially announce any openings to his offensive coaching staff, but the Hokies hosted two candidates on campus Monday. Former Auburn offensive coordinator Scot Loeffler and former Auburn offensive line coach Jeff Grimes were in Blacksburg to meet with Beamer about potentially taking the same positions at Virginia Tech, according to two athletic department officials with direct knowledge of the situation. One person said, however, that neither Loeffler nor Grimes have been hired by the Hokies as of Monday afternoon. Virginia Tech’s search for new offensive coaches has been ongoing since the Hokies’ worst season in 20 years ended last month in the Russell Athletic Bowl. More to come…
  5. An early season loss to Virginia Tech! Haha... Nah, I'm just kidding. They are going to annihilate us.
  6. You are right, I was mistaken. I thought he was actually on duty inside the school. However, that would still be a scenario that would likely be unavoidable. While I don't think having an armed officer in each school is a bad idea, I'm not sure it would be effective in deterring people that already intend to kill many people, usually including themselves. Much more would need to be done in order to make schools safe. An officer in each school would only be a starting point.
  7. There was an armed officer on duty inside Columbine.
  8. I also find it stange that many Christians immediately came out and started saying that this happened because "prayer has been removed from school". Isn't that basically saying that God did this to teach us a lesson for not allowing school sanctioned prayer. But to be fair, if you believe each story in the Bible in a literal sense, then you already believe that God killed or had someone/something kill many children throughout the Bible...so I guess it wouldn't be a huge stretch.
  9. The Bushmaster was the primary weapon used in the shooting. All 26 victims had gun shot wounds traced to that rifle, accordding to this article. http://m.usatoday.com/article/news/1772825
  10. No she wasn't. She was a retired stock broker who had volunteered at the school on occasion.
  11. You're right, the incident that happened Friday has nothing to do with Benghazi. It was not my intention to compare the two. This thread is about gun control and the politicalization of tragic events on a political board. My only intention was to show that both sides can be guilty of it, and it is wrong either way. I fail to see how this makes me a sick person...but then again I guess that anyone who disagree with you must be an idiot and/or sick. Also, I never said anyone on this board was saying anything about Benghazi the day it happened, but others outside of this forum were. I also haven't seen anyone on this board speak out for more gun control...I guess that means it isn't haappening, right? You can continue to make personal remarks about my intelligence and character but it only goes to show the type of person that you are.

  13. Why? Because I often disagree with you? Its stupid to politicize any tragedy, not only when it happens to be something that you disagree with.
  14. Actually, I didn't ask anything. I only pointed out that it is dumb and insensitive to politicize any tragedy, not only when it happens to be about gun control. For the records own several guns and have a CC permit. I am not anti gun. That doesnt mean there shouldn't be a serious debate about gun violence in this country; however, in the aftermath of a tragic event is not the time.
  15. The buzzers at the door may help keep random people from just wondering into the school; however, if you have someone with guns and no regard for themselves or others, they could easily get in. They could break a window, forcibly open a door, or just wait outside the door until someone is coming out and sneak in while the door is open. Just like metal detectors, they may stop an average person from bringing a gun into a school, but they would not stop this type of person. They are only in place to give people a sense of security, IMO.
  16. Much like some people were politicizing the tragedy in Benghazi before the smoke even cleared. Idiots will be idiots.
  17. What's the story here? Glenn Beck is an idiot and everyone already knew it...nothing new. BTW, I couldn't care any less about either piece of "art work". Also, the left isn't made up of one person...
  18. Proof is for pansies and democrats! We just use our guts! 'Murica!
  19. You're correct, and I knew that...not sure why I typed run.
  20. To be fair, I did check the box score; however, I only checked it because I knew it wasn't over a 50 yard TD, because the entire drive was only around 50 yards. But like you said, doesn't really matter.
  21. Also, it was a 42 yard TD run to tie the game, not 54.
