  1. Congratulations to the team and Coach Rife. This is a very good win and confidence builder for the Golden Wave. Look forward to seeing more success in the future.
  2. True Sman...very true. The Panthers are the best right now but who knows what the future holds. Gate City beat Oak Hill Red at Gate City by 6 in OT. All-in-all though, if TV improves just as everyone should they will continue to be the best in the area. As long as TV plays team ball and the players don't try to be individual stars (which a certain coach won't let happen I'm sure) the Panthers should make the trip to Richmond. Be thankful certain individuals have already made a big impact and it should only get better.
  3. I'm sure Lester will continue to QB TV. I was told he didn't play against Haysi due to a shoulder injury.
  4. Not sure they would admit it if they were!!!
  5. I'll lay this one out there.... Twin Valley 16 Haysi 15 HA!HA!HA!HA! For real.... Twin Valley 8 Haysi 24
  6. Was informed an upset may be in the making at Sandlick. Think I'll go watch the Tigers and Panthers get it on.
  7. The team with the most points...HA! HA! HA! Just having some fun...actually: BDD - Honaker No big suprise. LPD - Burton I could be wrong. SWD - Richlands The cool Tornado prevails again.
  8. For someone to be from or to pull for Castlewood you sure are hung up on Twin Valley a whole lot. Makes you wonder...if you know what I mean! You need to concern yourself with the Blue Devils and their future. The more you put TV down the worse Castlewood looks...but hey...I'm sure you know that.
  9. Lebanon 21 George Wyth 24 Hurley 28 Thomas Walker 7 Tazewell 21 Abingdon 14 Honaker 32 Haysi 17 Big game of the week: Graham 14 Richlands 24 One of no importance but I'll still list: Twin Valley 28 Poca 7

    TV FOOTBALL

I sure hope you got the chance to enlighten swd on this matter. From what was seen and from the talk going around regarding the loss to GBC one can't trully decide where the TOTAL blame lies, eventhough the buck usually stops with the coach. IMO a lot of players & coaches - not all mind you - thought the game was going to be so easy only their bodies were present and nothing else. Guess what, Friday night actions may have played a role in Saturdays game for all we know. Let's leave the coaches and players along so they can reflect on what needs to happen for the future. Who knows, Beamer Ball may not have worked either.
  11. I fully understand what you are saying, but...a school with only 44 kids 9-12 (according to BHC) and I'm sure they don't have the best athletes in WV enrolled, so again, why worry?. I agree with some others, TV wins easily even using backyard football techniques. When fully prepared to the best of your ability...I'll leave the rest to the intellect.
  12. Why are you interested in what GBC has? They have lost their first two games by a combined total of 53 points, scoring 41 and giving up 94. Enough said, this Saturday should be another very easy one for your beloved Panthers. You should run the same D against GBC you used on St. Paul. TV 54 - GBC 14
  13. Don't really know anything about the Deacon's except they were beaten soundly by Holston last week. From what I hear St. Paul should finish in the cellar in the Cumberland District which isn't considered a strong football district. I would think the Panthers need not worry about this one, but hey, anything is possible in high school sports. The Panther's offense should break 40 points this week with the D giving up only 7.
  14. Twin Valley places first going unbeaten. They beat Abingdon twice and Castlewood, Chilhowie, Patrick Henry, and Council once each. Hats off to the players, Coach Moore, and his staff for finishing tops without a loss.
  15. Why what happened at Honaker? I thought he just left to become a head coach.
