After yesterdays game and his failure to get into a bowl game will Phil Fulmer get fired?

The referee thing did not bother me at all the officials are adults and are fair game as far as I am concerned. To be an official you have to have tough skin and know that you are going to take some criticism. But to ride the kid #33 the way they did was pointless. He knew that they were yelling at him too he looked up everytime he came over to the richlands side of the field. Like I said before these weren't other high school kids doing the yelling these were adults.

I have been a Richlands fan since I can remember and played 3 years there myself but must admit I was a little embarrassed last night. Not by the guys on the field they played their hearts out in a clean game weren't cocky or showboating. I was embarrassed by a group of fans sitting around me who continually harrassed a player on the other team. I think it was taken to far and I know that people will say he started it by taunting the crowd but these were grown men taunting a kid (it would be different if he was a college player or professional) for four quarters when they were up by 30+ points. How would you have felt if you had been his parents or him. I just wanted to get this display of poor sportsmanship off my chest.

No Jennings was in street clothes.

Magna Vista also had it happen a few years ago and ended up having to forfeit 12 games that year.

Anyone know if Jared Harrison has gotten any looks by any of the smaller schools? I figured for sure Emory and Henry, Concord, Ferrum and UVA Wise would all be glad to have him as well as he is playing this year.

I know everyone is saying the secondary had such a bad game against VA High I dont think they played nearly as bad as everyone is saying. Still shut them out. If the secondary is that weak I think that someone would have managed a touchdown against them. Will be closer then everyone else is saying because it is at Hillsville but I am still going with Richlands- 21 CC- 3

I can't even remember him getting tackled at all in the whole 3rd quarter fell once in the open field but a true tackle I can't even remember. I felt like last night was one of the best individual performances I have ever seen. I know this is off topic but great call last night moving 28 Smith out to wide receiver he had a good game too.

I havent seen the backs from Carroll so I can't and won't comment on them but have seen all of the other backs you mention, hands down the best back I have seen play is Caleb Jennings. The numbers might not be there because he missed some games hurt but he is the real deal. I would love to know how many tackles he has broken this year.

Everyone is talking about the turnovers and they did play a big part in Richlands pulling away but you know the exact moment when I said that the game was about to turn around? The holding penalty on Tazewell's second drive of the game I think it was on 55 but don't quote me on that. Up until that penalty our defense was looking as close to confused as I have ever seen them look Tazewell had just completed a nice pass that looked to have caught us by suprise but move the ball back 10 yards instead of forward close to 10. I thought that Tazewell's offense never had anything rolling again after that point up until then they looked like they believed they could drive the ball. No offense to Tazewell by this post because I thought they played a heck of a game and were dealing the hits out as hard as they were receiving them. That is just the point that I thought the game changed for them.

Thanks everyone, I knew that I remembered them having a couple of runs that probably went for 15 or so a piece but there were also times when they went 3 and out and lost yardage on every play.

Anyone got any idea what the total yardage for Graham was tonight? Did we hold another team under 100 yards in the game?

You all have to be kidding, Garon Marcum above Brannon Breeding and Justin Hamilton. Its not even close Garon is a good running back but not in the top 10 all time southwest virginia.

Cburg won the overall team score with 292 points, Grundy in second with 96.5 points and Turner Ashby 3rd with 92.5 points. Cburg had 6 champions, Grundy had 0. Only one Tazewell County wrestler placed and that was Travis Walk from Graham 6th at 119.

He didnt make it to the semifinal against Rhodes, he lost in the quarters to the guy that he beat for 3rd place later in the tourny.

Eric Kendrick 3. Luke Owens 2. Tyde Prater- except for #1 I have never watched a more natural wrestler, he should have been a 4 timer and was the 4 time team MVP if I am not mistaken 1. Shane Bowman- for all the reasons listed above plus so many more. 36 total district, region, and state matches and 35 ended in pins(if i am not mistaken the other was a tech fall)

Someone said that Cburg was in the Black and Blue division earlier They were in the top division weren't they the national division or whatever it is called.

Probably Laddy The heavyweight that everyone is wondering about from Richlands that wrestled Luke with everyone chanting his name was Elliot Big E Joyce I was a member of that team. I think that he was good but the heavy weight the year after Chris Berry just wrestled one year and I think he would have beat Big E. Since we are talking about dream matches remember the guy who wrestled for Vestavia Hills Alabama that beat Albert two or three times at the Agie Skeens I just remember he had red hair I would have like to seen him and Luke or him and Albert during Alberts senior year best I can remember he was the #1 heavyweight in the country his senior year too. Tauraus was a 215 in the Highlands district when he won state. I do not mean to seem insensitive but does anyone else remember hearing that Tauraus is deceased I thought I heard that he was shot in Roanoke or Bluefield one.
