I have seen two people now "sign" with SVCC how do they sign people to anything? I remember they used to have a pretty good baseball team and dont ever remember them signing anyone, is this new, also I thought they cut the baseball because of the budget but basketball seems to be thriving I am glad to see basketball doing well

This is the same thing that happened last year the better team stays home, last year Richlands went undefeated in the regular season ran into Mikey O'Brien and Hidden Valley in the semis and their season ended while Abingdon a team they beat times ended up playing and winning the regional finals sometimes it comes down to the luck of the draw. The district team with the best chance of doing anything in the state tourny ends up going home.

All these rainouts have really screwed things up these teams are going to be playing every single night now could shake things up alot

I love our quiet community also and I think that there is nothing wrong with quieter simplier places but by the same token I am tired of everytime there is any sort of change we have 30 townhall meetings opposing it and everyone ho humms around doesnt want to act while Russell County and Wythe County are acting then we set back and wonder why we have nothing to keep our decent young people here. I graduated 10 years ago and almost no one from my class is back here working and living the only ones who live around here are either in jail or on drugs. We need to quit stopping progress at every corner, that being said I am not entirely sure the windmills are the type of progress that we want.

Yeah I agree with your statement it happens every year guys like Hansbrough, Jay Williams, J.J. Reddick, Christian Laetner, Eric Montose were all great at UNC and Duke they get to the NBA and the calls start going the other way and they get exposed, first time Hansbrough is standing in the lane and either Lebron, Kobe or Dwight Howard come driving they will not only dunk on him but it is going to be a 3 point play to because he will be the one on the wrong side of all these calls he has been getting

Oh yeah Tech blew their shot in the NCAAs the same they do every year by losing those early out of conference games (Xavier, GA, Seton Hall, Wisconsin by a total of 8 points)and losing to weaker conference games (UVA, Maryland) another problem is they got 4 ranked teams (Duke, Clemson, NC and FSU) twice each but only got one game against GATech and Miami. It just kills me to watch the excitment in some of the other conferences when an underdog gets into the finals wins knowing that the ACC officials will do everything they can to make sure that doesnt happen in our conference

If thats the other way around and Hansbourgh they would have called a foul and probably charged the guy with assault, I am not a Carolina fan at all I usually like Tech and Duke but its getting old the ACC wants the finals to be Carolina and Duke every year and the officials are going to do what they have to to make it happen, FSU is getting ripped right now

I still dont get the Devin Carter issue, he was 3rd in the New Jersey State as a 7th grader, then transfers to Cburg and is great, I may be wrong just what I have heard but your telling me that Dresser saw enough in the 3rd best middle schooler in the state to bring him to Virginia when he was in 7th grade, and again I may have been misinformed so if I am wrong I apologize

Is it set in stone that the 4 teams playing tonight are in the region tourny representing the sourthwest or is it possible that Tazewell could get in since they were 4th in the regular season, as everyone said there doesnt seem to be much by way or criteria for making it to region

I am not sure short of banning them from the building what the school board can do, they arent a school sanctioned activity like a team or anything, whats to stop them from getting there and forming a cheering section they paid for the ticket

Back to talking about the game it was awesome there for a couple of minutes when Pauley (personally I dont care where he is from seems to be a class act) and McGee where trading buckets back and forth

Man I was there too leaned right against the trophy case talking as I said, I can't say what was said I honestly cant for all I know something may have been said just saying I never even saw them look at him but I can say without a doubt no girl came to that deputy I was talking to him the whole time, she might have ran looking for one but it was not the one that came over. I personally think it was just high school boys being stupid thats what high school boys do no suprise just saying both sides were classless last night at times it takes two to tango.

No girl came to get that deputy he saw what was happening and went over I was talking to him, the Richlands kid must have called him a bunch of stuff quick because he never stopped when he was coming from the bathroom until he was getting screamed at granted maybe I didn't hear everything but the kid never stopped walking who supposedly called him "a bunch" of stuff. To address my little friends I have never even seen the Richlands kid before last night but until he was screaming at them I never even saw them look his way.

Yeah I personally observed all that class that Tazewell has during halftime when I watched one of their golden boys escorted out by the sheriffs office for trying to pick a fight with someone half his size and dont act like it didnt happen I watched it with my own two eyes and was standing there talking to the deputy when it happened. I also heard numerous cuss words at the officials that takes quite a bit of class too. It cracks me up when both sides act like jerks and one takes the high road like they are just full of class. I am from Richlands and dont like some of the things that get chanted by the Richlands fans but both sides are just as bad.

Have you watched the news for the past 4 years, this economy is down the drain and has been long before Barak took over, what exactly is your definition of down the drain if we arent there yet I would hate to see when we get there

i just wonder why AB didnt play that much this year he didnt get many carries at all, I figure it could have been a way of punishing him for last years off season or what I hope is the case is that they were increasing Ward's trade value and AB will be the 2nd back next year
