  1. The other name that's been floated is former Oklahoma OC Chuck Long. They called him Chuck "Third and" Long. In other words, par for the course.
  2. Ehh, good. Even looking outside the stupid comments, he never added anything to the conversation anyway. Just a talking-head that wasn't good at talking...
  3. Oh, they rolled alright. That was seriously the most complete football game I've ever seen played. As I said in the chatbox, this Alabama team is the best group of athletes I've ever seen on the same team, and they played Notre Dame nearly flawlessly. Their O-Line completely neutralized a very good Notre Dame D-Line, to the point of total control. What's stopping 'Bama from a three-peat next year?
  4. And she's also dating a guy with a chest tattoo. So she can't be that bright...
  5. Well, that sucked. But what's gonna suck even more is when VT opens up against Bama next season. Can't wait for that one... (And when I say the NC sucked, I mean it was a boring game to watch. I couldn't have cared less who won.)
  6. Ha! Exactly. All the while, Shane Beamer has already assumed the position of OC.
  7. Yeah, Bama will get the victory. I don't think it will be a blow out though. 6-10 point range.
  8. So you present a bias, then say you're unbiased? Try again, BHS03.
  9. Yeah... it was a catch. The refs missed it, just like refs missed one call on Scott. The only truly questionable call was that soft foul against Zeller (third one committed), and even that was a hand check ("technically against the rules... rarely called" as the article says). The other two "flops" by Henson? Scott needs to keep his elbows down and not even give the refs the option of the call. Ha, I have NEVER defended anything UNC has done, or ever will do. Yes there are a lot of these awful cross-over fans (VT football, UNC basketball), but I am certainly not one of them. In fact, the closest I ever got to fighting a dude in college was because he was a VT basketball student season ticket holder, and he showed up to the game in a UNC shirt. I led the way that day in deriding him and making sure he knew he was a bad person.
  10. What this reminds me of is the disdain UVA fans had for VT fans when we discussed/lamented Danny Coale's (wrongly ruled) no-catch last year. How exactly then are we supposed to react to this UVA sniveling?
  11. Ha, I'm under the same impression about Pitt as you are. I can name at least one game where they played really well: September 15th vs. Virginia Tech.
  12. Ha, I'm still interested to see how Dan Snyder is gonna screw it all up.
  13. Did anyone watch Obama's press conference today? Every so often, his arrogance/hubris/insolence/haughtiness is simply disgusting. Today was one of those days. He trots out "members of the middle class!" to stand behind him while he gives smirking comments regarding the (so called) fiscal cliff. It's all so stupid.
  14. I wouldn't blame Boehner or Obama. When Boehner presented a bill that slightly resembled bi-partisan to the GOP House, it was thrown out by the young, irrational tea party members. I blame them for the mess we're in right now.
  15. I sincerely believe this season will be the worst of the malady we call an offense, and will usher in a staff overhaul. Of course there are rumors flying about such changes, and I believe them this time, which I don't normally do.
  16. Well, it's finally over. 7-6. Lot's of changes coming.
  17. Anyone who adheres to this mind frame when it comes to firearm "regulation" is simply wrong. No more words need to be added.
  18. In defense of Bloomberg (can't believe I just typed that. Those words have never been spoken before by liberals or conservatives), he doesn't want to get rid of all guns like Bucfan suggests. His city, like other metropolitan areas (Chicago and St. Louis in particular), is swamped by illegal gun traffic and acquisition. It's this illegal transfer of guns that Bloomberg focuses on, and he has worked hard to spread that message. Bloomberg even started a Super PAC called "Mayors Against Illegal Guns". Furthermore, on the Super PAC's website, it makes this statement: Here's a link to the website in case anyone wants to look at it: http://www.mayorsagainstillegalguns.org/html/about/about.shtml Also, I don't know if the conversation the left and right would have would revolve around getting rid of concealed carry laws and laws regarding guns used for hunting and other sport. From what I've read, and this includes both liberal and conservative talkers/writers, the conversation would focus on the high-capacity ammunition, assault weapons, etc. that are viewed by most as unnecessary and dangerous. EDIT: Here are more words from Bloomberg regarding his stance on gun laws: http://www.usatoday.com/story/opinion/2012/12/18/michael-bloomberg-on-need-to-control-guns/1777889/
