The Warriors ran roughshod over that defense all night. Oh yeah I forgot to mention that we were 3 starters short as well in this one,as well as the best RB we had moved up to varsity :)

Got to give a shout out to my boy and his mates on this squad who moved to 7-1 tonight by hammering Gate City 36-8. Take away the Lebanon game where we were raided to help out the varsity (which is part of the deal of course),these boys have gotten good at winning. The future at CHS is bright :)

He'll get no mention,but Joe Burnopp is quietly having a big season at Central. He's as strong and tough a ballcarrier as you'll see

The Rodney Dangerfield of the LPD Gets a bit of respect tonight. From the day these schools were consolidated,the kids from Central have heard how Union was going to not just beat them,but destroy them. Union has gotten the hype,gotten the airtime on the radio,while the young men from Central have heard nothing but how pitiful they were. All the while our kids kept their mouths shut and kept working on day by day...we get better and better. At some point it's put up or shutup time,and tonight the Central Warriors came up big. The much-maligned defense made some adjustments and shut Union down. After what these kids have been through (no team in this area has had the adversity that these kids have-from not only trying to get used to a new school,but losing their head coach and backbone in B.I),tonight was a testament in character Warriors. I simply could not be prouder of this group of young men

Win the LPD volleyball crown tonight,and the gals really are just starting to do damage. Robin Dotson's Lady Warriors basketballers are going to be hard to handle this fall. Straight sets over Clintwood tonight. Congrats ladies :)

They had zero yards because of no completions obviously,but they did throw successfully on a 2 point conversion

Central would be a pretty good ballclub if they trashed Hicks (Defensive Coordinator)

He's a beast no doubt,but that Warrior Offense was clicking as well,and countered blow for blow. BTW VHSL Helper all Central home games are at UVA-WISE until our new facilities are built

Why Friday Nights Are Magic You had a Central Warriors club coming in having been beat up a bit the last few weeks,and really no one in the solar system giving them a chance not only to win,but be competitive much less vs Lee High's Generals. The Warriors have been kinda looking for themselves this year,but they sure made it happen in a wild shootout. My lord Tyler Graham is as good a back as this area has seen in a long time. Thank goodness we'll never see him again. He absolutely was a greased pig and we just could not get him to the ground. If you liked offensive football,you got a treat tonight. As great as Graham and company were on offense,the Warrior offense matched them blow for blow. Lee has had no luck at all vs the LPD going 0-3 with 3 heartbreaking losses. Both teams need some changes in personnel defensively (yes I finally broke down and said it),but what a game between two very good offensive teams tonight

Kudos to any coach who boots lazy kids (we have booted a few this year). If you cannot show the work ethic,desire,and commitment to put in the work,then some other kid who is busting his arse deserves his shot

Not in this case man. Trust me,I am a big believer in not overlooking anybody,and you still have to put in the work,but if Hurley does that they'll have a tougher time in class tomorrow then on the field. Ervinton has had success against Phelps :)

Getting beat by Phelps tells you all you'll need man. Take your JV team and play them and you'll just win by 2 TDs instead of 5

Wise Central looked much better from game 1 to game 2 especially on the defensive side. Hopefully the improvement will continue this Friday night in Castlewood

Castlewood will have problems with Wise Central Friday night. I believe that site will miss that one :)
