  1. Classic "trap" game with JJK awaiting a huge game the following week vs Powell Valley. Here's hoping the TRIBE stays focused and moves to 6-0. Beamerball, are you going to be there? If so say hello (I've always respected your posts both on here and the LPD board). You can never tell with Lee. They always have some athletes, but can't seem to put it together. I'll go with the Indians 35-7.
  2. Got class? Just giving the kids from PH a shout out. Folks expected them to get blown out tonight, and it didn't happen.
  3. Go out to the folks at Rye Cove. Tonight a student led us all in prayer via the loudspeaker before the JJK-RC game. Screw the ACLU!
  4. Folks have whined and bitched about JJK's schedule, but PH showed some folks a bit different. PH has been much maligned this year, but the Rebels gave Abingdon all they wanted, and tonight they go to one of the toughest places to play in the state, and come a hair of upsetting Appalachia, and spoiling Homecoming (a week after Appy gave GC a battle). My attaboy of the night goes to PH.
  5. JJK 50 RC 8 Indians 1st-string pitches another shutout. Lee next week, then PV.
  6. I see that football and sports in general teaches life lessons, and that is great (BIG reason I allow my sons to participate),but at the end of the day things like family health,safety,relationships...etc mean so much more than X's and 0's. Friday nights come and go. Family is forever. Just a matter of perspective IMO.
  7. People get so pissed off and bent out of shape over internet message boards, and it cracks me up. This stuff is supposed to be for fun people. If it angers/upsets you, then you need to: a)get thicker skin or b) get off the board. I got crucified on here and another board, but had to snicker, because the big question is: Does typing on a keyboard determine the outcome of a football game, and do the ones who are actually playing the games actually give a rat's rectum about what everybody else thinks? The coaches should be discouraging players from being on here anyway (know that our head honcho at JJK does). Life is serious enough folks. Find more pressing things to fret over than a football game (which in the grand scheme of life is meaningless).
  8. Very sad day indeed. He was a class act. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family.
  9. Nothing at all wrong with that. Congrats to the kids from Castlewood.
  10. Point being that the CW-RC game was not an upset. I am aware that TW lost Hensley and some others, but they returned Twigg and some folks as well. TW was the preseason favorite, and I believe they'll back it up by winning the CD. Who knows though? In the CD anything can happen, and anybody can win. It may not make for quality football at times, but it sure is wild and wooly.
  11. As is often the case,a thread is hijacked, and we digress lol
  12. TW is the defending CD champion, returns the core of that team, and hammered CW 52-0 already. Until somebody in the CD derails them, the Pioneers are the team to beat in the Cumberland. Even at that,I said MILD upset.
  13. I wouldn't call any CD matchup an upset (perhaps beating TW would be a mild one). Congrats to the kids from CW though-always good to nab that first win. As for Rye Cove,it's going to get much worse for the War Eagles come next Friday.
  14. Hey don't get me wrong. My better half is from Pound, and I am tickled that they are doing well, but you and I have different versions of what happened in that game. It's all good though, because that's in the past and both teams are moving on.
  15. You need some assistance for that delusion no doubt. Be real..Jenkins,Twin Valley? PH,TW would handle either of them. Morgan Co Ky? Winless last year, right? BTW John Battle is improving, something that cannot be said for TV,Jenkins. Crabtree DID NOT trade film with B.I. either. That's a fact. As for numbers? JJK played PH which is not a smaller school. We played Pound because Pound chose to stay in the LPD,keeping it a distric game (nothing at all we can do about that). Tell you what though: I'll not argue round and round with you though. JJK easily handled the "Cats be it 47-0... whatever. Pound is 4-1 at this point,so let's peep that record at the end of the season once LPD play is done, and see where the "Cats stand.
  16. Pretty sure that on a few occasions, B.I. stuck his 2nd string offense in when the Tribe got close to paydirt (he did leave his first team d in for a bit,but that was a response to Crabtree not swapping film with him). JJK may not have hung 100,but they certainly could have hung much more than 47. JJK did not try to run it up. As for the 3rd qtr biz? Ramsey and some other backups were in well before the half. Pound played the worst they have all year because they actually played somebody. Twin Valley,Jenkins, and Castlewood are terrible. I'm not saying that we have a schedule like PV or GC,but it is considerably bettr than the LBs.
  17. Never saw a Carlock-coached team quit. You knew it was 4 qtrs of hell when he was alive. Sounds like it is time for a new head honcho at Graham.
  18. Carlock's rolling over in his grave
  19. What's going on with the G-men? Are they youthful and rebuilding? I'm not used to seeing them getting thumped like they have this year. Graham is normally tough as nails.
  20. Lol Good thing we didn't schedule TV because quite bluntly we could have hung 100 on Pound (thing was 33-0 JJK over Pound halfway through 1st qtr). What is the point in embarrassing someone by hanging 50 in a half? Enjoy it Mildkittens because soon you'll be back in the mighty LPD getting the same thing that JJK gave you. Twin Valley needs to drop football point blank. That right there is pathetic. What has happened over there? Back in the day Garden had some pretty good clubs.
  21. With my TRIBE being off,I get to be lazy on a rainy night and listen in to some other folks. Any radio station carrying this one? I'd like to see the Rebs get a big win. Alot of folks giving them down the road, but they've lost to some pretty good squads.
  22. Wise rolled in crunch bunch and Division 1. St.Paul got D-2. The Deacons have a solid group of 7th-graders. They remind me a little bit of my son's 8th-grade bunch (which is still rolling along after dumping PV 22-13 last night)
  23. AMEN to that! Just went there Tuesday for a youth league game hoping it had improved, and it still sucks
  24. We're kinda overdue over here in Wise as well
