Nothing like some dude who was probably mediocre or didn't even play sports taking he joy from his child by expecting perfection. Sad situation

Richlands has a great team no doubt,but to hear the fairweather Central "fans" who will in their customary Wise/Pound style bash them,is a bit disconcerting. Obviously we schedule teams like Richlands to get better. Their program is where we want to be,and with a good core of young kids (including a soph QB),the Warriors will be fine. We should be sitting at 3-1 with that mess at Letcher,so it's not like we've been terrible (just have to clean up the turnovers). This team was picked to finish dead last by most,and they realistically have a good shot at winning 6-7 games with a young squad and building a foundation for a future. Had you told me during the offseason that the Warriors could go 7-3,I'd have laughed at you. We are not there yet obviously,but we are turning the corner, Best of luck to a fine Richlands team and some great fans (thank you all for being so hungry and making us a ton of money in the band concessions too:)

Better question would be why is Central not in his top 10 after remaining unbeaten and beating Ridgeview who is in his top 10:)

If folks were using the thought process that because Clintwood beat Cebtral, they forgot to factor in some things. Central actually has some coaching now. Last year they were in almost every game, and should have won some of them. They were competitive- just had to learn how to finish and win them. Last night when Ridgeview closed the gap to 14-7 and Central fumbled right after, folks were saying " Here we go again". Not only did the defense hold, but we scored again and finished the Wolfpack off. This squad not only showed physical toughness, but what they have been missing as well over the years- mental toughness. There's nothing wrong with losing to Central anymore folks. They're gonna do some winning

Let's give a good Central team some credit. Very physical and aggressive on defense and totally disrupted the Wolfpack offense. Ridgeview was very lucky that so many Warrior turnovers only had them down 7-0 at the half. This one is going to be a dogfight. The Warriors will be fired up opening their new stadium, and ready to make a statement. I feel they'll have success moving the ball. The key for them will be finishing drives. This one is going to be extremely physical, and I think it'll be much closer than a 10-14 point spread you all are looking at. Ridge view missed a PAT and loses 21-20

Caught the Wise Central-Chilhowie game tonight. It was good seeing the kids from WC hitting hard,playing with pride and enthusiasm. Luke Owens had them ready to play. There's some kinks to work out with a lot of kids in new places,but the effort was good. 27-6 was the final

Had a great banquet no doubt. Great food and fellowship. Can't wait to see our VA boys end that streak tomorrow:)
