Correct. I've been to every PH/Holston game since 1994. I have never seen Holston beat PH.

It's sad that PH football has fallen to this level. Back in the late 90's PH had one of the best programs in Southwest Virginia.

When I left It was 26-7 Honaker with 1:40 left, but PH may have scored again because I heard a loud cheer from the PH side and the band started playing

Over on hogoheegee.com, you can pull up history of every district team since 1988. On November 5, 1993: Holston beat PH 22-15 But that's the only time that I can find that it has happened.

Yeah they have before, but it's been a while. The last time they beat PH was in 1993. They also beat Lebanon that year. I think they were coached by Richie Thomas that year, who took the coaching job at PH the next year and had several very successful seasons at PH in the mid to late 90's.

You guys will win agianst the weak schools as always, and then choke when you play district teams. (Except for Northwood)

Yeah Abingdon may have easily beaten PH, but Abingdon made A LOT of mistakes, and I was just not impressed. Abingdon was beating themselves in the first half. I would hate to think about what would happen if PH was without Groves this year.

And Tazewell beat GW...........Correct? Sounds to me like they must be pretty decent to have done that. Forget about them being 1-9 last year, this is THIS year.

I say 4-6, They already beat Pound of course. Probably beat Northwood, Holston, (Based on history, doesn't seem to matter how much better Holston is than PH, they can never beat them) and maybe Rural Retreat. But in any case, you never know until the game is played.

Yeah I was just as confused as anybody was. I thought at first what had happend was that Holston got the TD and they were lining up to go for 2, and when he spiked the ball I just said "What the Hell just happend here?" Like you said it was total chaos!!! And as for the Holston fans, throwing bottles at the PH cheerleaders was just uncalled for. People, these are high school kids that grown adults were throwing objects at. Grow up people! They shouldn't have been throwing objects at the PH cheerleaders no matter what the situation was.

Very exciting and confusing ending. 3rd and goal from the 2, Holston RB's knee came down behind a big pile that didn't allow the back judge to see it. The Holston player continued to the end zone. The ref that didn't see the knee hit said it was a TD, while the other 2 refs saw his knee hit the ground. (I was standing at the goal line behind the fence, so it happend right in front of me) That is where the confusion started. They even changed the scoreboard to show 21-20. When they took the points off, that started a shower of boos from the Holston side. Holston went into hurry-up because the clock was running, but I don't think they realized that it was 4th down, and the QB spiked the ball!!!! Ball turned over to PH, GAME OVER!!!

Well, I didn't mean "severely injured" the way it sounded. I meant they had many starters that were either already injured and didn't play, or there were a few that were injured during the game. They had several third string guys playing in that game. Radford lost to Powell Valley the next week.

Shut out Rural Retreat 17-0 in round 1 playoffs. Severely injured team lost 20-7 to Radford in Region C championship. 1998 8-2 but is in the records as 6-4. 2 forefeits due to an ineligible player that played 8 plays total that year. 1999 7-3 Lost in first round of playoffs to Floyd County 2000 6-4 I think coach Richie Thomas was burned out on coaching at that point, and he gave up the job.

I think some of you need to attend a few PH games, and see exactly what goes on. Then you would see why they need a new coach.
