The BHC is reporting that John Paul Justus has resigned as the head football coach at Hurley. Zach Deel has been labeled the interim head coach for the Rebels.
Lebanon has not defeated Richlands since 1993.The Blues have won the past 15 in the series.
Richlands is currently on a six game losing skid dating back to the David Crockett game a season ago. That is tied for the longest skid since the Blues dropped six in a row last year and six in a row in 1989.
A loss for Richlands will be its seventh in a row, which would be the longest since that 1989 season where the Blue Tornado dropped its final seven games of the '89 campaign.
I am sure this has been previously noted but Tazewell's first home win in the series since 2003 and their first back-to-back wins in the series since 1999 and 2000.
A pair of unsportsmanlike conduct calls on Richlands that will haunt them for awhile. Completely avoidable and unnecessary. If you do not get those penalties, you turn the Bulldogs over on downs two times in the fourth and pull this one out. If you are from Richlands, that was a tough one to listen to them gift wrap and give to Tazewell 105 days before Christmas.
