Surely you're not serious about replacing wade that easy. Not taking anything away from Dillon but he will be replacing a player thats a 2 time all state linebacker. I think you will realize wade was more than just a tackling machine on that defense and team.

. Just don't start making assumptions that Abingdon is better than Bluefield or Lord based on a single game against a flat Richlands performance. Thinking that way will get you beat in the next two games. RHS actually had four starters out two more than in previous games.

. Let's just say Abingdon caught Richlands on a good week. Richlands comes out of a open week with an additional two key players out. And for some reason very flat. Not making excuses for RHS but Abingdon did not get the Richlands team that played Bluefield or Lord. So, let's not get to excited Falcon nation!

Well put! I agree, people and the players need to understand that just because we have "R" on our helmets doesn't mean victories will just fall at our feet. OTE=old_school_blue;301833]The 46 defense was inventive in 1985, not 2013. If Richlands takes the "Ryan" family style, should have coaches fist fighting on the sidelines. On the contrary, you will find 10 opponents ready and willing to suit up against Richlands. There are teams in AA (Division II) that are capable of handling Richlands. Go ask Goochland and Gretna. Neither are afraid of Richlands. Need to be more concerned with getting better than "spreading the legend." Really concerned about stopping the run. Have had problems with that for the last few years. The problem with blitzing 90 % of the time is that it will open holes that give way to 80 yard runs. Prefer a more "fundamental" approach to defense. Just my 2 cents.

From a person who has observed the Richlands program up close for several years now I believe I can honestly say the transfers have done more harm than good for the program. For many reasons to lengthy and touchy to discuss on this forum.

Buddy, if you think the program is in decline you haven't paid attention to the talent coming up!! I predict a run starting next year for three years of state appearances!! With the new alignment it's going to be fun.
