Carroll over Richlands 71-47 Lindsay Martin lead Carroll with 18. Carroll had 3 girls in double figures including Megan Alderman and Taylor Martin. Rachel Dalton and Crysta Guynn added 9 each for the Cavs... Brittany Allen led Richlands with 18.

Carroll Girls won by 15 or so... the Carroll boys by 12.

The Roanoke Times told me their basketball preview is coming out on the 30th of Nov.

If it's the same coach they had last year, I'm not surprised. He would have been a great extra in "Anger Management".

Does anyone know when the previews/predictions are scheduled to run in either the Roanoke Times or the Bristol Herald Courier?

Galax squeaked one out this afternoon vs Luray thanks to a last second 3 forcing OT by Justin Hash. I know nothing of Luray other than they are supposed to be big and judging by the box scores they made Galax play outside. I have coached several of the kids on Galax and I have to say that I am very proud of those kids. They are a great bunch and deserve all of their success. Congrats to them and I hope they win it all tomorrow!

Martin was the leading scorer and rebounder on his team and he gets second team (not to mention he was a senior). Not to sure how they choose them???

Tends to happen most often under the basket. I agree completely with you. It needs to be something since high school does not have the semicircle under the basket. If there is enough contact to displace a player it is a foul plain and simple.

I can see why he'd be confused... I'm not sure anyone knows. The VHSL has nothing about it on their site. I also see some folks get one win and they are in the state playoffs and some must win 2. Very strange. I would think the VHSL would have a bracket on their site for all the regions.
