Its kinda a perfect storm thing. EPA has put to many tough regulations on coal fired power plants which was the cause for some power plants to shut down completly like the one in Glynn Lyn, VA. The plant in Glynn Lyn had been turned into a stand by plant that only operated when necessary. But because of new EPA regulations it was going to cost over 1 million dolllars for it to be over hauled to meet the new regulations. So instead AEP decided to shut it down. Other power plants usually keep a stock pile of 30 days of coal on the ground but but many have up to a 70 days supply right now. China's economy is slowing so less coal is being shipped over seas. I for one am hoping the new contract with India couple with a terrible winter will get these guys back to work. Give it time and I think these guys will be back to work. EPA keeps getting destroyed in federal court in WV for over stepping their powers. New contract with India wanting 9 millions tons of coal per year for the next 25 years. Wishing the best for you all that have been laid off, I for one support you guys and I have faith you all will be back to work soon wether its there or at another mine.

He was the ultimate coach, father figure to many, mentor, and cared about each one of his players. If it wasn't for him I wouldn't have even attended college or been a part of a ODAC championship while I was there.

From what I understand, one to Bluefield and another one to Richlands

So I hear that a couple of players are transfering from Graham to other schools because of Coach Williams. Coach Marrs went 1-9 his last year and "stepped" down. Coach Williams comes in and takes this team back to the Carlock era of discipline on and off the field, and now these kids don't wanna play for him? Just so disappointed to hear this. Gurantee if "Coach" was still there these kids would not want to leave nor would their parents want them to leave either. Everybody wanted a change and was so happy to have Coach Williams there, now these few players and their parents are turning their back on him. I for one support Coach Williams and love hearing how he is making these boy become better football players but most importantly making them better young men. Sorry had to get this off my chest.

Ok I see where WVVA.com is reporting that all players from Tazewell received a 1 game suspension and two players were suspended for two games. Both teams will forefit the game. Did Carroll recieve the same punishment?

I know most saw the news footage of the fight last night between Tazewell and Carroll. I was just curious if anyone knows of possible punishment for the players involved and how or if they will finish the game. I played a little bit of baseball in high school and never remember getting into a fight or knowing a school that did so I was just curious what might possibly happen.

Sadly this is what Tazewell does. They ran Dave Litz out of there, begged for Harris Heart then ran him out of there. Same thing with Wyatt. Tazewell needs to give the new coach time to try to build a program if they want to be sucessful or claim they are a Baseball town and football is not important part of their school because this coaching issue year after year at Tazewell is a embarassment.

I have tickets for tomorrow's game between UVA v. VT. I have never been to a game down in Charlottesville and I was curious if anybody had any suggestions where I should park. I know they have public parking at some parking garage's but I didn't know how good of a tailgate atmosphere it is. Anybody have any suggestions?
