GC's 1st string against THS's 1st string, the Devils won 15-14. THS's #24 & #82 scored on pass plays. GC scored on a long run & 5 yard TD from #12, Mack. Devils went for two on the second TD to go ahead. When the 2nd teams were in, THS scored on a long drive & the Devils scored twice, with long runs by Rhoton & Carson I believe. THS missed their extra point & the Devils made two 2pt conversions winning 16-6. For the 4th scrimage I think for THS & the 1st for GC, I thought the Devils played pretty well.
Does anyone know the Venue yet? I know SH has went back to their old gym a game or two this season, but never been to their new or old gym, only Freem Hall.
Was not a good game at all by the Devils. Hats off to Boone....they sank a bunch of 3 pt shots while GC couldnt throw it in the ocean in the first half. Ervin had a bad night of shooting and still managed to put up 29. Its becoming quite obvious the tendonitis In his leg is giving him some major issues too. Just doesnt seem to have the same bounce in his step.
One things for sure, if WC boys BB team ever made it to the State playoffs, they'd have to recruit someone from another county to say the sportsmanship pledge.

Field is fine, unless you just don't like to get dirty. Unless something has changed recently, both teams have to play on it regardless of the conditions.
After last week's game I think people are actually realizing that Lee is for real this year. Giving the arguably best team in Swva the hardest fought game they've had this year. Heard from a friend today that they over heard gate citys coaches after the game saying that do NOT want to play Lee in the playoffs, that they barley squeaked by this game. Let's hope so!
I believe that's alittle wishful thinking on your part. I'm sure GC'S coaches & players would welcome a rematch with the Generals. The Devils lost two fumbles inside the redzone, missed an extra point and a chip shot field goal. Have they capitalized, the game wouldn't have been close.
If you wanna talk about kids jumping state lines, how about the kids from West Virginia coming to Richlands. And you know kids go back & forth from Bluefield, WV to Bluefield, VA. Theres kids that switch in Bristol as well, but its more one sided since they don't wanna play for Va. High and transfer to Battle or Tenn. High. I'm sure it happens alot everywhere. Theres been several GC kids transfer to North, DB and Twin Springs in the past.
This is what I read about Pinkston on LPD forum. Several weeks ago, he got charged with a misdemeanor for throwing a missile at a moving vehicle which I believe was a water bottle. Phil then had no choice but to dismiss him from the team. I don't believe the vikings have played with him for the last 3 or 4 weeks. But it is rumored that Robbins might let him return for the playoffs. Hopefully this is just a rumor as that would be a suspicious move on Robbin's part.
It all depends on which Lebanon team shows up. The Pioneers seem to get up for the big games and big rival games. If they do, they will win. Kelly I think is more determined though to prove themselves and will make it close.
