Why Abingdon ? Didn't they graduate several key players last year ?

Who will be the team to beat in SWD? It has been close in past years. Richlands , Tazewell and Carroll County graduated several good players last year?

How did the new QB do for the falcons against Richlands? I know it wouldnt matter in who won. Just wondering how he held up against Richlands Nasty Defense?? the Radio said he was a sophmore with little experience.

Who was the kid that came into play QB for the falcons on Friday night against Carrol County? How did he look and do? I heard he was pretty young?

With all the coaching positions that have opened up since last football season can someone post the new coaches for the schools.....

The rules say that all equipment bats and helments that are to be used are to be inspected by the umps so if the bat was not out for the umps to check then Why Did you not have it out?? Was it cause you guys knew it was composite? Which makes it Illegal?? I think any coach wants the rules to be fair for his kids!!

Whats up with tazewell baseball? A 3 game loosing streak over teams they pretty muched handled earlier in the season!! Also whats up with the attitude of #13 throwing his helment after been called out at 1st base? Bad Attitude I cant beleive that the coach didnt bench him.

Just trying to figure out if Abingon has any chance of making the playoffs? I know that they may not even win but would like to know if they have a chance? I know its cause of the division but I think its bad when a 1-9 team makes playoffs but a 6-4 or a 5-5 team cant.

AMEN Lance you are so correct on this. Every since the front office has stepped in and forced the coaches to be gentle on the kids the program has went down hill so quickly!!!!!!!

Does anyone know where and when this game will be played? Who made the team?

I do believe that there was behind the scenes with the coaches from Tazeweel and Buch Co. When the teams that finish 1st and 2nd has less players then those that finish last or next to last. Im not saying Abingdon or Carroll should had all the 1st team or second but It sure looks fishing when they dont have as many as the teams at the bottom

it seems like with the weather all the good tournaments have beeen canceled locally. Anyone have any info on how region 4 teams are doing?

You just spoke the truth about football in SWD and at Abingdon. If you are not going to work at it year round then you dont need to show up on Friday nights and expect to win......

I agree 100% all the other counties around us allow 7th graders to particapte on the 8th grade teams. Whats it going to hurt??

I must agree with most of the post on here, It starts at the top if you look at Washington Co as a hold ALL 4 High Schools struggle in sports. yes Holston is doing well in football the past few years. If the principles and coaches doesnt have the support of the school board or they are to afraid of the school board nothing will change. I do support acadimics but there are some students who need sports in there life to succeed. Its just like the real world if your boss is always breathing down your collar you dont like it. Lets get the support from those higher up to where they support the COACHES and PRINCIPLES decsions rather then the coaches worring about them coming down on them for Little Johnny not getting enough playing time......... Let the coaches chose who plays and who doesnt not the school board......... Mr Noe just does as he is told just like all the other principles in the county......... Nothing will change in sports in Washington Co until new blood is at the top of the school board.

Lance you are not the only one who sees that about A-towns Defense. Im still yet to figure out why they run a 3-4 defense, it doesnt get run in pros or college. They dont have the talent to run a 3-4. they could possible get by with a 4-4. I do beleive thats why Richlands burnt them Yes richlands could beat them no matter what Defense but I think it would have helped. good coaching helps.
