Interpretation is the key word here, its how the flag is interpreted. If it is meant to be related the school and their name...then honor it that way. These days, people have no problems with things of this nature...things have changed. Now if you want to be immature, and make an issue of it...then it can be nasty....but for this particular school and flag, it basically means "We have been taught that this is our school flag and we are called the REBELS, I see no problem with it....hey its how you want to take it....so for these kids, there should be no problem....I have REBEL flags all along my fence to show support for the Rebels during the football and basketball season....then I take them down when all thats over with....I even have red and blue lights with it....so its a free country to show support for you local school....and when we are put in a position to go to the state as we are...it should be understood what we stand for...honoring our school and if it means having a Rebel flag...then the kids should understand that we are going to bring it....GO MIGHTY REBELS!!!GO WOLFMAN PECK!!!

On behalf of the "Loud Crowd", we would like to accept this award of being the "Wildest Fans". We feel it was an honor to go and watch this team suceed as well as they did....and for the last two years the stands have stayed full and we've had participation like nobodys business.....for that we would like to thank the fans that traveled with us and stood in the rain and the snow. We had a great time! It will not be forgotten......so thanks Leonard, you have made it more than fun to read....its awesome and I hope you will continue this....

Well, guys its to my understanding that this list that has been posted is not the official list. This list is the Hubbumd wish list.....he knows what the original list called for....so don't look for this list to stay the same....Congrats to the few Rebel men that made the Hubbard list....oh hum Hubbumb..what Christmas spirit!!!!! I am really proud, everyone underestimated these young men for their talent. It hurt to lose but I have to honestly say, that was the best birtday present a father could have ask for , to see my son play on that field, knowing that had always been his and his buddies' dreams to be together playing at the playoffs....I have grown attached to these young men and have been around since they were little, and have seen them go through different phases in their lives...they accomplished what they had set out to do and that was to make it to the playoffs and they did.....they are leaders and will do what they set out to in their lives in the future, underclassmen and seniors. Me and my better half (my wife) want you guys to know, we couldn't be prouder to have been a part of your childhood and adulthood....we made it and it was a blast all those years...we can look back and tell all the good times we have had to your kids one day...to the underclassmen, to took the challenge from the seniors to stand up and take that plunge to better yourselves on that field and you proved you could play and stand with the best of them..I commend you guys did a great job....you taped back up and said, I want to finish this game and went back out ....you are a wonderful group of young men, you say you are not playing anymore because it wont be the same, yes you can, just take what the seniors have left you with, the stepping stones they have laid you to you and use it nest year....meaning all the challenges that Big John HIT you with and use it as experience for the next team....Farewell to a great football club, "To those of the 2010 team, will be remembered as a great team, with the HEART of the NFL, they can't say you guys didn't play with heart....you did. We love and will miss you guys!

I don't know about all that, but what it will come down to is who is the more physical in this game....and my answer to that is Hurley, no matter what the numbers show ...theres only 11 on the field, they are not playing the sideline too....lol ....Rebels have always known that they have been outnumbered....that's why they have trained to work both sides so yea, Hurley's in good shape...Go Rebels!

Man, in some things, in SOME things like football this year, size doesn't matter. Its how bad you want it...so you can blow it out your ass....size of a school is not the issue this year....we have what it takes this year and I am one that can tell you ....that I have seen what they can do personally...only eleven can be on the field at one time and we also have experienced talent on the sideline too...making it equal out to 30 hard core men wanting to get to to where they deserve to be ...in the top spot and its gonna take all 30 some of them to do it.....so from what I see they are in it together to win it...I hope you guys can pull it off this year and be able to look back one day in your high school annual and say, "hey, this is where we were in football"...piss on size, f them...do what you gotta do....hey we'll talk a little trash every now and then...but for now its their time...

CONGRATULATIONS BIG BROTHER.....on making first team defense on the Bluefield Daily Telegraph Four Seasons Football Team. All the hard work paid off. I am really proud of you, I'm always behind you...ha, ha, I love ya...Keep up the good work...

I would like to congratulate all the local players who made the All BDT four Seasons country football team. I would like to especially congratulate my son, John Layne, for all his hard work and determination. The effort you have put forth makes your dad and I very proud, so keep up the good work.

Its not going to change on this end, until you get the principal and the coaches and whoever else it may take to lay a plan on the table that best suits Hurley...in order for them to compete at the level they need to...the system is not fair at all....they need to take a closer look at this and determine at what level we need to be competing ...I can't believe that this hasn't been looked into before all this...I think the right people and the quanity of people can make a difference...its not fair to these boys who get out there to represent Hurley High School...to me football is a lot harder to play, considering how your body takes a beating...I think the least that we could do is take time to get something done in their favor..its the least we can do....I think we need to work on it now before the next season rolls around...

Like , I said before...all these answers still does not justify why we only have four spots instead of six....I still feel if we are playing under the same program and under the same rules and guidelines as everyone else then we should have six spots just the same as everyone else no matter the strength of the opponents ....it is not fair in a sense and you know it "helper" is there a rule against letting D1 have 6 spots....if you walk in a classroom, by just looking at the kids overall, can you tell which one is the smartest , strongest, weakest, and the ones that live across the "border" how strong they are....there is one thing for sure...they all have to follow the same rules under the same teacher and are in the same room..and are there for the same thing ..is it not fair to say, that every child in that room has opportunities to excell, as they all do the same work ....under the same guidelines they are weeded out by points on test and such till you get to the top six in the class points does count for something....it balances out itself....why would this class D1 be any different....We are sitting in the top five in points and sitting home that's ridiculous people...I say whats fair for one is for the other...we can go on with excuses and different answers all night but the bottom line is why not be challenged by that fifth and sixth spot..it would make it really interesting for a lot of people...Yea, I think they deserve to be in a playoff game , and yea I feel they should call a special or emergency,meeting whatever you want to call it....the voting is not that complicated to raise a hand in agreement to expand....what are they waiting for...if it is not addressed then that is down right discrimination to me.....I'm sorry but that's the way I feel about this .....

Tennhoo, you are talking nonsense now, I am just saying if you were in the same position would you not question why? I have to say we are not like you guys from these big schools that are loaded up every year with great atheletes...its rare that we can say that we have a loaded up football team..and to see everyone one else go to the playoffs with their loaded up teams comes no surprise to people...but when I question why just four for us then it shows ...I feel if you can determine the strength and the deserving then you must be god...don't pass judgement until you watch these kids...you have to take everything into consideration , like where we are from our area, not many teams are loaded all at once around here , so yea I feel we DESERVE a chance just the same as the loaded up teams ....Why does it bother you so? Conspiracy, lord how mercy?

That's the most postive thing that has been said...thats right they will win or lose...it will balance out in the end...
