He (A J) really is special when he's got the ball in his hands. Can score from anywhere at anytime. Devon also leads him down the field with some awsome blocks. Maybe #8 will get more touches this week.

Hey Lance, Can you look and see how tall #2 Deshawn Fox was last year and #8 Simmons was last year as well as #27 Riley was. Based on the clips it appears they are 3 of favorite targets of Beecraft #5. Fox appears to be real fast but average size. Can't really tell. The running back is very fast as well. Never mind on Deshon Foxx, I found him on the recruiting link here and he is 5'10" and runs a 4.33 ---40. A real speedster. He will be a tough matchup.

Thanks Salemfootball. It appears that they have several recievers which are just average size but real fast, led by Deshawn Fox #2. It looks like it will be another dogfight like Cave Springs with a better line. They appear to be bigger up front than CS was.

Whoever said all teams have those fans that you are embarrased by is correct. It seems every town has a few dipsticks which make thier fans all look bad. To cheer for someone to get injured is just plain childish. That said Go Green Wave, Go Blue Devils and Go Blue Tornado--bring back some titles! As a Richlands fan I wish we would get a Tornado siren to blow when we come out on field and score. Anything that gets our fans and players fired up as long its in good taste is OK. I have no problem with the Gate City Horn.

Logan Thomas was throwing to a 6'6" guy as well as a 6'2" wide out 2 years ago and the outcome was 47-00. We had the 5'8" corners and they just threw it over us. No way to defend that size difference. I know those guys are gone but they may have reloaded. The quarterback must have some pretty good recievers to put up his numbers. The question is are they tall?

What is the size of thier recievers? They had the really tall ones 2 years ago and it was a big mismatch for us and they wore us out with it. We have a much better secondary now but I would like to know what to expect. They must have good recievers as the quarterback is no better than those who catch it. But are they really tall, fast, etc?

I had the crud last friday night but what voice I had was used up during the game. I do agree that our fans could be much louder, and hopefully will at Brookville. Some of them don't realize to get loud when they have the ball and be quite when we do. Its like my wife asking me how many points do you get for a fair catch. Some people are just there and don't have a clue.

I agree BIGRHSFAN, we look very good in the power I. If the oponent has any 2-way starters in there then you also seem to punish them a little more as well. I also agree that Mance knows a heck of a lot more football than I do but I hope we do see the power I more this week. I wonder if we ever practice a play action fake out it. I have never seen us run anything. You know when they see the power I coming they must stuff the box with everything they got and then hope to stop it.

A play or two the other way and we could have lost the game. It was a close game, and no doubt Cave Spring is really fast. They have a good team period. Thier quarterback never got into a rhythm throwing the ball. I guess it had something to do with the pressure applied by our rush. The same could be said why our offense did not look to be on all cylinders, it was thier defense.

I agree Lance, It did make it look closer than it was due to Bradley coming back for ball. I had a pretty good view from stands but it looked close to me. It was obviuos with you're picture. Officials did a good job as it is a bang bang play and they had have a good angle to call it correctly.

Thanks Lance for the good camera work to document the only possible controversy of game. I seen on VA preps where you had a great shot of Bradley Strong in front of Cody Lockhart when the pass was thrown. I did not see anyone on Cave Spring sideline get bent out of shape due to the call on field of it being an incomplete pass. If anyone had contested the call you had the perfect shot to show it. It was an incomplete pass as called and no problem.

Way to go BLUES. The notion we have not played anybody can not be used anymore. You guys beat a very good football team last night and it was obvious who the best team was, no controversy. Congrats Cave Spring on a good season as well. Cave Spring has several players which will make impacts in the next chapter of their football careers. This could turn into a region 4 rivalry.

How big are their wideouts? Will they have those big 6'6" targets like the last time we played them? I know those guys are gone but they were impossible for our corners then to cover. Our corners and safties have played great against all comers this year, but if they are huge then it is a matchup problem. Other than one blown coverage last night they kept Cole confined for the most part. Also what kind of line do they have?

I thought Richlands offense played the worst game they have this year. I know part of it was the Cave Spring defense but also Richlands just got out of rhythm. The offense did not execute from the begining of second quarter until middle of third quarter. This is usually when we just roll. I was impressed how the team just did not panic and stayed focused until they got back their mojo. The defense stepped up and kept us in the game until offense got it going again. I think we beat a very good team and look forward to next week. ----GO BLUES --------I am not knocking the offense as we did score 36 points but we could have scored a bunch more if they had stayed in character throughout the game. It may pay dividends next week to have a bad game behind them. Not very many this season.

I have not seen ethier team play this year. I have heard a lot about Clintwood and I know they are well balanced and have size on the lines. Balance on offense is very difficult to defend in high school. It kind-of sounds like Richlands this year. This is one Richlands fan that will be pulling for Clintwood all the way. I have old friend that played for one of thier State teams.

Thanks for the post. Both of these players have worked hard and played their hearts out for the Blues. Todd is part of the O-line which is just knocking back everbody we play and making huge holes for Devon and company. Cody can do it all, linebacker in on almost every tackle, running back that always gets yards and never fumbles, and surehanded kick returner. Senior leaders like these guys is why I believe this team will bring back a title in the end. They could loose on the field but it will take a super effort to beat them. I have watched our teams over the years and I believe this is the best TEAM we have ever had. This is the most balanced team than I have ever seen in high school football. The ball is not round and it can bounce in a lot of ways so anything can happen, but I think it will bounce in our direction this year. GO BLUES

Yea, I would do about anything to see this game. Schedule change, etc. It should be a great game to see. Especially with the revenge factor from last year. I have heard several people from Lee county to Bluefield which will come and see this one.

Richlands 51 --- Cave Spring 38

Great player. His hits look even harder in real life. You can almost feel the blows he puts on people. He can truly punish people on the field. He is a better linebacker than running back and that is saying something. The best thing of all is that he is a JUNIOR. If he works hard this offseason he could be the best player Richlands has ever had period. Just my opinion. I agree Lance, the water mark almost ruins the tape here.

I know for sure there will be a lot of Blue Tornadoe fans pulling for the Beavers Friday night. I'll be one of them. Have a safe trip as well.

It appears to me that the pepper spray was needed and it was what stopped the fight. I hope some Lawyer does not get rich off this. I am sure there is a bloodsucking leach out there somewhere just salivating at this fight. My hats off to the security personel and police for their involvement in this brawl. The game of football is a violent sport but it does not need thugs in it. It can be a game of honor and sportsmanship. Thats what is wrong with the NFL, too many thugs not fit to live in society taking part. They are taught early on if you can play ball good it does not matter what kind of man you are.

We (Virginia) could be in trouble. They probably have a lot bigger talent poll than we do this year. It would still be a good game to see and support the VA guys. I will try to clear schedule and get there. It is close to Christmas and family plans are plentiful.

Yeah Lance, I can see how this style will put tremendous pressure on our corners and safties to make tackles one on one. Cole (6'3" 195LBS --4.5 in 40) is a big guy and the others are good athletes as well (#4)(etc), so a real test for our defense. It will be hard to get a rush on the quarterback that quick as well. I trust our offense will be fine but they may score more points than we like. Just the style they play. Thanks

I have tried to just keep my mouth shut but I guess RYAN just won't let it go. The Martinsville band gets it and you guys don't (director or who picks music). It is a FOOTBALL GAME and you are there to entertain the FOOTBALL FANS. Richlands band does not get it and Martinsville band does. Also Richlands band has even ruined the National Anthem (SSB). What is that crap at the end. Not how it was written. Some morons new interpretation. Just listen this week FOOTBALL FANS and see if you would just not like the National Anthem the way it was written. Just my opinion and I am entitled to one as you are. They are like a$$holes and everyone has one. No spitting involved, just the truth. You got you're opinion and now you know mine.
