Oh and Bluefield now holds the record for the most points scored on any Gate City team in the history of their program.

I was glad to hear the two renewed their contract.

I think the win last week will turn Abingdons season around! They will finish the regular season as Southwest District Champs at 8-2. Then they will make the big playoff run of a lifetime capturing the D-3 State Championship! They will beat Richlands for the Region IV Championship then beat a loaded Brookville in the State Semis before beating James Monroe in the big game in front of the millions! MILLIONS! of the Falcon Fan base! ESPN will then have an emergency last minute vote to name Abingdon the 2012 National Champions! No one will carry the Falcon slop bucket! MEANWHILE BACK ON PLANET EARTH................................

He played some the last game. They played their first 3 games and both the scrimmage and Jamboree with kids on the injured list. Looks like they are almost all healthy for this game.

1987 Battle beat GC 41 to 7. GC beat Battle in the first round of the playoffs 26 to 0.

I would hate to see the same teams on the schedule year after year. Too many good out of district games.

The 9 team plan would have benefitted teams in that district for easier scheduling. A school in the 4 team LPD would have to find 7 schools in football to schedule. The new plan is better for all.
