I can go ahead and give you an idea. Galax is one of the best teams on this side of the state in D1 or D2. With that being said Carroll still has a shot because galax is due a loss and Carroll is not bad. Galax can shoot the long ball and they are big inside. I'd say u will see them back in the state title game and I hope its against Hurley but hurleyhas to play their best game to beat them.

Surprised the Cain kid form Thomas Walker is not playing. There are no players from Grundy, Hurley, or Castlewood on the roster either.

I think Berglowe is playing basketball also.....He prob would still find a way to play though since its football......Toby davis is the only senior not playing bball

Yes Bergalowe did do a good job on stanley. Davis (Hurleys D coordinator) always has a good gameplan against Haysi.....He has held them to 20 points total in the last 2 meetings. It was all about matchups....put your best athlete on theirs.

He seems to go to all the hurley football games and basketball games....He must follow them close.....lol

I was standing near the fence and Cooper never got hit late out of bounds on the big run that he got called back. Even though i thought the block in the back was BS. If you are a Hurley fan why would you not care about the outcome of the game? That would have been a huge win for the rebels since they have not won a playoff game in about 15 years.

Why were you at the game if you wasnt worried about the outcome?

If you guys still had berglowe you would have won 7 or 8 games instead of 5....Hurley would probably jsut have won 2 or 3 without him. He is a difference maker and he would be the best player on the team no matter which team he was on. Dont hate and give the kid his props.

He is playing for more than himself and he is too much of a leader to to sit out over a strained muscle.....he is a tough kid he will be back Friday to lead the rebels and then lead them into the playoffs.....then he can go get that "STATE TITLE".

if you dont remember Hurley was also in the redzone 2 times and had 2 turnovers. I believe they left around 14 points that they should have had...also a TD was called back on Hurley. Just happy for our guys and our coaches....Haysi is a good football team and will make some noise in the playoffs and i look for them to give Honaker all they want.

yep your are right.....Grundy should easily beat honaker....dont know how they were up on richlands 12-0 at end of 1st. Hurley scored evertime they had the ball but once.....Grundy will not have a problem with honaker.....Grundy 52 Honaker 6

I wouldnt speak too fast and say these games are automatic wins. Twin valley will play hurley as their life depends on it and Rye cove is actually 5-1 right now.....No push overs ......why would you want to make the playoffs and travel to GW, Radford, or Galax and get hurt......time to jerk out the Basketballs

Whats this place coming too?? How can you get kicked off a team at one school and then transfer to another school and play. Why would a coach even let 2 kids that have played 2 games at another school step right in and be on the team in WEEK 5 of the season. Really setting a good example for kids today. Hey lets miss as many practices as we want and if we get kicked off we will jsut go across the hill and play......LOL

I thought Waynick shut Oquinn down. You all was talking about that matchup before the hurley game. He had 2 picks going against oquinn but Hurley could not stop the run. Also waynick was shut down on offense but he had a good defensive game against oquinn.

All of those you mentioned above transferred before entering the 9th grade. That is legal. However, transferring after the 9th grade you will be inelgible for one year by VHSL rules unless the superintendent signs the waiver for a reason. Looks like Hurley will be alright without them after Friday night so let them go. They still have to practice at Grundy....lol....

Austin has never missed a practice. I played with one of thes guys befroe and he would always find an excuse to miss practice.......from waht i understand they had already been warned.....i heard the players wanted them off also

If you didnt notice the only time Waynick caught passes was when he was at TE.....Its all about match ups......He moves him around...... he had him in the slot, the split, and at TE......when he is at TE it puts a LB on him

I think they tried that in the scrimmages and the ervinton game and the center had it all over the place....thats proab the reason

Hats off to Grundy's defensive line because he didnt eve have time to throw a hitch. Looked like they were trying to get him involved jsut didnt have the time. QB needs to look to someone besides waynick becasue they were given him a lot of attention

Bergalowe is not the fastest guy on the field. charles, clabough and gibson are faster than bergalowe.....bergalowe just know how to follow his blockers....I think 25 is the fastest guy on the field and that may be charles

Are you crazy # 50 is theri best lineman....i know he is small but he is also oner of their most physical players. # 61 needs to go to tackle not guard......He wont be able to pull. Id say you will see a lot more of 61
