  2. The IV Horseman are back.........
  3. Like the great one the Rock says..... It doesn't matter who they are playing! The last few teams that have advanced to semi's have been back to back years. Council 2000 2001 and 2002 TV went in 05 06 and 07 or 07 or 08.... Hurley this and last year... I think you have to go before you enjoy some success or you get caught up in happy to be there vs win or go home mode especially your senior year. I've always thought that Swva teams out game plan and out execute teams from C on over b/c we rely on more team than athleticism and individuals. I look for some Zoneage to throw off Easterners and Hurley hasn't shown much zone.... Hope Super Cooper's got it in his bag of tricks.
  4. game.... blouses You know what I like about Abingdon?
  5. I think that Hurley only went 6 deep today had something to do with free throws. Probably one of the few games no body in the "big 3" came out. Even with 2 early ones on Tyler... Tyler didn't kick or step on anyone or that place would have erupted. I thought the refs called a great game.... called it tight from the get go. 15 from Parry Mc getting 4th foul early in 4th buried them he had 15 when they went out. The Rebs never got rattled though even when Parry kept knocking down buckets and getting steals, they did miss some bunnies early in the game though....
  6. Waynick should be Vandyke chiropractor player Of the week instead of new peoples bank. Man said get on my back and I'll take us to Richmond. Austin carried them 1 st half. "unfinished business in richmond" Rebel nation is burning up the t shirts! Big fish in district...........
  7. Congrats Hurley... Also congratulations to Doug Campbell glad Burton got vanquished by Hurley and Campbell gets his team to state after Burton shafted him for Williams after Stan retired... Good luck to both!
  8. Frank the Tank now resides in NOVA..... I'm not sure which Burg, but he is still in Radiology if I do believe..... I know he lives around Lynchburg b/c his son Eric came to our game at Liberty during the 2001 state tournament and lived in the surrounding area.
  9. Haysi scored more points than them.... Haysi scored more points than them, by putting the ball in the basket more.
  10. what bank? Trupoint? Wells Fargo? New People's? prefer direct deposit personally..... Hurley's favored.... but I don't think the spread is 30.... but they are favored..
  11. 53 to 51 Ben Rife had 25 Cameron Presley had 23 and 8 boards.. Grundy had a couple of looks at Game winners b/c Council missed the front end of a couple of one and ones....
  12. Doug Campbell is the best thing to hit Castlewood since Pizza Town II!!!! Get on Doug's back he's carrying them to regionals!
  13. union beat JI Burton so.... probably won't be needing the tie breaker although they did take out coin toss as the 8th tie breaker and put in the best of 3 rock paper scissors @ a neutral site
  14. 37 to 12 run in 2nd quarter. Hats off to Cooper pulled starters at start of 3rd. Class act.
  15. Greg Wade is doing a great job at Radford High School.... Man is helping build a dynasty in the New River Valley "The <3 of SWVA and the New River Valley."
  16. I have apretty good idea, but just wanted to run it by and see what's up. Everyone makes it into Regionals this year, so 1 and 2 seed get a bye and then the higher seed hosts the lower seed... Hurley's lost 3 thus far... Twin Springs 0.... and Burton 2..... So if they all win their Districts and District tournaments would that put overall winning %age as the 2nd tie breaker? Twin Springs 1 with 0 losses, Burton 2 with 2 losses (To Twin Springs) and Hurley 3rd with 3 losses (Mentor, Logan, and Gate City) ?
  17. IF the game is snowed out on Friday, the game will be held on Saturday starting @ 4 with JV Boys, followed by Varsity girls, and Varsity Boys. Come out and enjoy a good game in the friendly confines of the Cobra Den.

  19. East Ridge has two Division 1 prospects from Canada playing. a 6'7 220 Freshman, and a 6'1 PG..... Got offered a full ride to Arizona as freshman and had official visits to Mizzou... They play Bill and the Golden Boys @ Grundy on Dec 1st.
